First let me say- Thanks to all the folks who take time to answer in this board. As a total newbie your information is really priceless.
As an american raised abroad and now back "home", there are many terms and jargon I honestly don't understand. -Ripoffs - what exactly constitutes a "ripoff"? The fact the SP (service provider?) never showed up, etc?
B&S - What does this mean?
LE- I assume Law Enf?
Upselling - Not sure what this is all about. Aren't rates stated on ads?
Let me first explain: I grew up in a side of the world (although not the specific country I was in) where "the hobby" is not frowned upon and generally accepted or legal in some places.
Here on these boards however I see many newbs like me posting nervous about their "first time", should they "make the call or not",etc. My questions is: what are the possible risks? (other than LE?)
I am not asking nor expect a lesson on state laws- we are all adults making choices and responsible to deal with the consequences... but when people talk about "RISKS"... what are some of the situations that could occur, especially to us newbies?
Thanks to everyone and looking forward to join my regional boards once I'm comfortable and have learned the ropes a bit!
I am a newbie also and after reading everything I was up and running in less then 3 weeks. Pop my first cherry today!
This community is right it does get easier as you go along. Just make sure you go with well REviewed woman 5 or more reviews, or a refferal service where most woman have good reviews. and don't mention sex and Money. Just put the envelope down in plain view and enjoy each others company.
A "ripoff" is any action taken to deprive another of what's lawfully or morally theirs. In other words, a theft. Most commonly and acutely, this is a situation where a gal shows up at your room and asks for the donation; then makes an excuse to go downstairs ("I have to tell my driver something.") and dashes off with your money, never to be seen again. ("Cash and dash" is the most common name for that ruse.) Other situations are less severe, for example, you get "short-timed" meaning that instead of the full hour you paid for, she gets up and goes after the first "pop" (ejalculation). There are many other similar scenarios also.
When the SP doesn't show up, that is a "no show, no call" (NSNC). Not really a rip-off per se, except that your time got wasted (and maybe a hotel room charge spent for naught.) SPs are commonly the victem of this as well by clients who arrange dates with several providers just in case they get NSNC'd themselves. It's a sad and viscious circle.
Bait and Switch (B&S) is sort of a ripoff where someone other than the gal whose picture you saw in an ad or website shows up. Sometimes this is OK if the person who shows up looks nice, but often that is far from the case, and anyways, it's always considered poor form on the gal's or agency's part. General agreement is that you are entitled to send them away with no payment except maybe for a taxi ride back.
LE is law enforcement.
Upselling is another semi-ripoff situation whereby the gal, without any prior warning, will not offer any or many sexual activities without extra payment. At one time, long ago, "a la carte" was the norm in hobbying, but today a "one price includes all" is more the norm. A gal's site or ad should address this and if not, reviews should be carefully read. It's not uncommon for some activities (anal being the most common) to cost extra. This case would not be an upsell or ripoff.
After LE the most palpable risk is getting found out by a spouse or other SO, so discretion and care are the watch words of the smart hobbyist. To that end, I invite you to follow this and other boards where these risks are discussed daily and also to take up the suggestion of many who have already commented to read the entire Newbie Manual above.
I also heartily recommend that you pay for VIP membership so that you can read the reviews of various escorts and know fully the situation when you meet them.
As always, feel free to ask questions on this board. We are all here to help one another.
First- what an ability to read a person! Accurate conclusions for the most part.
My "fear" with the screening is obviously privacy (you are right on all your assumptions about a non-high profile job now- but that was NOT the case were I was raised, privacy is SO important to me ). For example I wouldn't mind mentioning what industry I work for, but not the specific place...
I would also be scared to death to give something like my drivers license over the phone- but if comfortable enough and with a well reviewed SP would "probably" do it...
Also, I would probably be very nervous in my first call - not because I have anything to hide or bad intentions but just because... Hopefully that won't be a turn off.
Oh and a question: when you do incall and its a Hotel... are you expected to pay for the room too? Isn't that weird?
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
