I've had less than 1 provider a year stand me up.  Sorry Mr F, that sounds like a cop-out answer.

1 - a lot of guys with little or no experience set up dates and are too nervous to follow through with it

2 - a lot of guys with *bad* experience being stood up by escorts make multiple appts and keep one

3 - this is a covert / illegal enterprise. Things can happen to derail a client's plans

suggestion: shop *here* for clients. Clients with more experience are less likely to stand you up or to be problems in other ways....

guys here are indoctrinated all the time in being on time, respectful, clean, well groomed, and not camping...

Im based in Houston and that is where I have had the no shows. its only been like 3 guys... I just started escorting about amonth ago anyway. But these guys all emailed with me a bunch and seemed like they were really going to show. who knows... just frustrating! I work 2 jobs and I move my schedule around so I can meet clients and when one doesnt show up...not cool!... the reasons you listed make alot of sense tho... Since I am new I had a few guys schedule with me and I did not show... i called and cancelled of course... but If I get a bad vibe or anything is iffy to me its a no go!... thanks for the answers!

I think there are a lot of tire kickers out there...  it takes time to build a business.  You are too new to draw conclusions yet.  If someone NCNSs (No Call/No Show)...  do not contact them, but give them a reasonable period to call & appologise.  (Emergencies do happen, but they know if they've NCNS you.)  If they do not, put them on Do Not See status.
Grow your business gradually...  do not short screening.  Repeat business is gold.  Your stage name is valueable...  it is your reputation for providing as promised.

and they are a fact of life for most hobbyist from what I can glean from the many discussions on here.

Nevertheless, I saw no reason to expound on the answer to the rather simple question the OP brought up.

We can wring our hands and declare is awful for both hobbyists and providers to overbook (Which, by the way, I never do.) but that's not going to change the fact that it is going to happen, and I don't see much of any way to prevent it.

It's just one of those things that has to be sucked up.

Additionally- depending on the area, the provider’s reputation and her volume of business- She can also require a deposit then if they cancel she still isn’t completely out.  Kisses T

I know both providers and clients pull no-shows, and though neither is right I don't expect it will stop.

Any provider that requires a deposit is off my list immediately. I don't care how well reviewed she is and how hot she is. I dont trust ladies that take a deposit. Just like the ladies want CASH ONLY and no credit card, its CASH UPON DEMAND.

I also dont like the providers that the first thing they do is ask for the money, that makes me VERY leery. IT tells me they are in it for the money and not providing a great experience None the less, a provider advising this newbie provider that she should start taking deposits is just dumb (no offense, it just is) How is it that if a client cancels, the provider can keep a portion of it but if a girl cancels and wastes our time, we are out of luck timewise for doing the research and reading reviews and expecting her to show up and than she cancels last min and our 2nd, 3rd option are not available or already booked?
