I have forgotten how to set the ignore messages from a writer.

open it and click on the 'Ignore User' button.  You should not see anymore posts from that user.

My problem is that when I open the message of the person who wrote it there is NO "Ignore" to click?

I still don't understand why people need an ignore button though. If you don't want to read someone's post, don't click on it!

That's a handy way of withholding from a troll the opportunity to comment on your own posts.  I don't know if it works that way on TER.

If you put someone on ignore, then they can't send you a PM, and all their forum posts will say "users post is ignored," but they can still see everything you post, unless they ignore you too.

Oh, well, we do what we can.  Forget who said it, but if you don't want to read someone's post, just pass it by, you don't have to open it to get to the next post.

Haven't been posting much past few weeks because of all the trolls popping up. Sure, I have my days where I post a bunch but seems lately I go days with posting.
