It's kind of like a boyfriend with a 'conflict of interest', or a pimp harboring an emotional involvment.

Either way it's the inclusion of a third party that I refuse to suffer.

...Particularly if she is touring and doesn't feel like answering the phone, emailing and playing footsie via multiple mediums (explaining rates, availability etc.) WHILE in the middle of her business day (re-dressing, re-bathing, hair & makeup, cleaning, sneaking around the towel cart, and most importantly, screwing).

The independent provider pays the booker for their assistance.

I personally don't understand the big deal RE people who answer the phone for the provider.
If it keeps her on an even keel and not freaked out/paranoid/tired from corresponding with all the randoms throughout the course of the day, why is it such a problem for some?

for a provider based on a percentage, or a set fee per booking. The "booker" only gets paid in most cases if the client shows up,and pays her donation in full. A booker is an employee on commission, or "agent" for the lady. The lady is STILL INDEPENDENT.

...that they have spoken with on the phones for a number of years.

Clients will recognize their email address or phone number when perusing Eros or other escort malls.  When they call the booker up, having spoken with her before for other visiting providers sometimes they will ask her "what is new" RE talent and the booker will share the other girls that she is answering phones for.

I don't really think that this is a substantial means of increasing call volume.
The booker just answers the phones.  She doesn't advertise or procure new clients in the manner that an agency actively does.

If you need help getting clients, I suggest that you find a provider who is popular in your market and get yourself a mentor who can teach you.

Good luck!

You may want to be very careful in choosing a booker.  In my personal experience they may (1) not present themselves as one and once you show up/call to confirm you get asked questions like "this is not the number i called" or "you did not have this sexy russian accent when we first spoke"

(2) Since in you don't get appointment they don't get paid ... some may not screen well enough.

After all, they are not ones waking into strange room.

By agent I assume you mean agency owner. The answer is simple, if an agency then the lady is employed by the agency. A booker/screener is employed by the provider to screen and set her appts.
