I have seen several reviews state that the provider did an "LE check" on them.

I assume it means a law enforcement check, but what does it entail? I'm envisioning a pat down for hidden wires or something similar. Am I close?

I've also seen where the guy does a LE check on the provider to get comfortable too. What does that mean?

It means a grope or offer of a grope, under the theory that Cops don't grope or get groped.  She thrusts out her chest offering a tit grab, or she puts her hand on the package.

Its BS, and is no protection IMHO.

... 'ucz it has lots of symbolic meaning, and makes people feel and believe they are safer; but in reality it is meaningless posturing that affords no help or protection whatsoever.
