If I see a listing for a provider and she has reviews, can I count on the reviewers to be trustworthy?

Are all the reviews confirmed with the provider?

Are all the providers confirmed?

I can say that the reviewers probably aren't because I wasn't put through too much to get a membership.

The best way to get a pretty good comfort level that everything is legit is to take a look at the reviewers.  If the person doing the review has several reviews, chances are pretty good that everything is legit.  If the reviewer is "white-listed" by one or more providers, chances are really good that he is legit.

The providers can contact TER if someone they have not seen posts a review on them.

You can also PM a reviewer if you have a question about the provider.

As a Newbie I'd like to point out to you the wealth of information at the top of this board  listed as the Newbie Manual.  Also read back through several pages on this board & a bit on the others.  OK, now we have a basis for this conversation!

You've seen repeated, a referance to a "well reviewed provider"...  this simply means a lady who has multiple reviews (pick your own comfort level) by reviewers who have themselves posted multiple reviews.

New reviewers generally can't post reviews on new providers although they have 90 days to submitt the review (so if they review another or the provider gets a review the review can be resubmitted).

The reviews are as accurate as the reviewers themselves.  Each experience is unique.  YMMV  (Your Mileage May Vary)...

I'm interested in hopping aboard and I've selected a provider that I'd like to see, but I'm trying to get some confidence regarding a number of factors and perhaps some advice on one particular item.

First the advice: She has an incall location, supposedly her home, that's in the same suburb in which I work.  No, I don't know the location, only the town. I don't know if she changes locations periodically or, if not, if there's a way for nosy neighbors to observe comings and goings.  Since it's close to my work, I have the additional concern that someone I know will live nearby.

Second, to continue the weak links discussion, shudaknownbetter, you probably can't say more than what you did, but here's where I was going with that:

This provider (provider A) has 3 reviews this year, none of the reviewers are white-listed, but they all seem to have posted at least 2 reviews.  Some of the other providers reviewed by these reviewers have white-listed other people, so I have a starting point with the other providers that may be close to my comfort zone.  I'm collectively calling them provider B.  What I'm wondering is, if a review gets inserted and provider B doesn't notice or doesn't participate on this forumn, it's possible that review is false and only bolsters the reviewer's reputation for the purposes of "legitimizing" himself and provider A, who may not be who I want her to be.  I'm not really worried if a review includes all the right details, I'm sure YMMV applies in a lot of cases, just that the review demonstrates that she falls into the right category.

I'm drooling over provider A, by the way and she doesn't participate, at least publicly, on this board.

Is it alright to mention the provider's name here?
