I am wondering what prepaid cell phones are available?  I apologize in advance for this posting as I know I've seen this information before on this board but now that I'm actually considering contacting a provider I can't find the name of a cell phone I can go buy with cash.

A client of mine just told me tonight he bought his Trac phone from Walmart for only $9.

Are these prepaid phones all basically the same?  I've heard of Virgin, Trak, etc. depending on what retailer you visit.  Are some better in terms of coverage areas?  I travel throughout the US and Canada-so broad coverage would be important as well as no personal info reqd, etc.

I got a Motorola Flip Trac Fone for just under $20 for cash at WM.  I buy refill minutes & 90 days every 3 months anywhere with cash.  I chose this one since it fits my belt carrier.  I swap my regular phone with my hobby phone for a date & then swap the back on the way home.  (Shut hobby phone off when not in use.)
If you can afford to play, you can afford to be careful.  When I started, I promised I'd not do anything stupid.  Leaving tracks is stupid.

You can also get a Google voice number for free.

I was thinking of getting a hobby phone as well. But i was wondering, do you guys get them strictly not be caught by your SO or because of LE? The SO is not an issue for me, so should i bother getting one anyway?
thanks.
