I have read a few of your statements and I can see why you come off wrong. I think you are abbrasive and I'd hang up on you too.

There's something that's very rarely considered and that's that folks act differently with different people.  Checking references means that person is more likely legit and probably knows how to behave with a women in closed quarters.  But we, providers on the whole, are very familiar with the guy who is a great and respected client to many but an asshole to some.  They try to get over on new girls especially.  It's a business of risk management, not elimination and it is duplicitous by nature.   So while it's great that you have those solid references, really great, there are still somethings that some folks do that will make a provider look at you a little closer or deny service.  Just based on a gut feeling or something silly the person would say or the way they behaved in communications.  We have to follow our gut instincts in this job.  I don't know if that was the case, I'm just sayin'.

Ok I am wrong there, not as likely as providers are. But men are sometimes subject to robberies by people setting them up with ads.

Though I must say those gents could have avoided the situation most of the time by simply avoiding sites like craigs list altogether.
