I've seen two providers so far. The first was wonderful. She was sincerely friendly, interested in me, and invested in my experience.
The second was certainly pleasant, and seemed to be aiming to please, but my overall impression from her was that it was really just another day at the office, and that she'd rather be somewhere else. Not that she was unfriendly, but I've worked enough customer service jobs to be able to tell the difference between being sincerely friendly and just playing friendly because that's your job. I definitely got the latter vibe from her.
She did, however, have many glowing reviews about how passionate and into the experience she is. So I'm left wondering if maybe the other reviewers were just less savvy at reading people, or were maybe were too caught up in the fantasy to notice, or if it was just that I caught her on an off day.
I'm a little worried about seeing other providers in the future now; I'm a lot more skeptical of the reviews. Did I just get lucky with my first provider? Is sincerity hard to find?
I guess I should also note that the first provider was independent, while the second was at an agency. Have folks found that agency girls are a bit more jaded?
Yes, IMHO there is a difference between independent ladies and agency gals. You may have been the 5th or 6th date for the agency girl.
Providers are similar to everything else in life. Once you have experienced two, one was better than the other. Same thing will apply after 3, 4, etc.
Was your first car better than your second or third? In high school, one of your teachers was your favorite and one was either 6th or 7th favorite depending on how many classes you were taking.

The best providers bring it all, and know how to adjust to you, regardless of other influences.
Less experienced providers might be affected by your nervousness, etc. and may only really engage if you do so first.
One thing I do, even though it takes time, is to read as many reviews of a lady as possible. I look for consistency of rankings and verbiage in the reviews. There are bound to be the odd high/low reviews which I toss out if they are statistical anomalies...
