I agree. What gets selected and rejected seems totally random. I've given up trying myself.

I subscribed to TER as a monthly VIP for four months, during which I never posted any reviews despite using the services of many providers.

I recently returned to TER and this time, decided to become a part of the community.  Since some posts had helped me, I was eager to give something back.

Imagine my disappointment after spending nearly two hours posting three reviews a few days ago, and then seeing them all rejected, for frivolous reasons.  One said, "we chose not to publish some new reviews" from time to time.  I was thinking, WTF?  I come here with nothing to gain and get that as my welcome message?

On the next two reviews, I had some very descriptive and funny comments that were 100 percent accurate.  I did not use any language that is forbidden.  Yet, both were rejected for including jokes and being offensive.  So, let me get this straight, I decide to try and warn other potential victims after getting completely ripped off by two providers, and I get a beat down by the moderator who runs the reviews?

Why in the hell should anyone take time to look up phone numbers, links, answer two dozen questions, write two lengthy comments sections, only to get them completely rejected?

I realize I will not get much sympathy here, that TER gets a loyal following.  But if my honest and very real reviews were all completely rejected (1 was very positive, and two were bad reviews), why bother?

While I won't give you any sympathy I'm not going to bash your post either.  I had a difficult time getting the hang of it myself at first and I had some reviews rejected for a variety of reasons.  When I read a review I don't want to read jokes...I want to hear about a date.  The moderators are hobbyists and if they thought your comments were offensive then so would many other hobbyists reading them.  To be honest, if a provider is a "2" in your opinion I don't need to hear the experience described in graphic or offensive detail...tell us it sucked, wasn't what you expected/wanted, and move on.  TER isn't here to give you a forum to post whatever kind of review you want to post, its to give other hobbyists a format to read reviews that provide useful information while respecting the providers...even if the providers isn't high quality.  No one is here to punish bad providers with offensive comments just a realistic assessment of how the date went.

PS: If you had a bad experience on 2/3 of your dates, maybe your research skills need to be improved or your expectations need to be re-evaluated?

With zero reviews your reviews are probably scrutinized more closely.

First review for a provider from a TER member with zero reviews will (hopefully) be scrutinized very closely.

Apparently you were not a paying VIP when you submitted three reviews at about the same time.  Despite your paying in the past, that may raise a "red flag", perhaps giving the appearance you were trying to get free time by submitting phony reviews or ones that could have been for visits more than three months in the past.

I believe every review I have submitted was during paid-for VIP time.  I was asked to give more detail on one (I had a lot more than other reviews I have seen, but did and it was accepted) but all the rest were approved as written.

You haven't tried "contact us" apparently either.

I am in the process of submitting a review, but renewed my VIP before doing so.  You might try that.

Many newbies have difficulty in the beginning when it comes to writing reviews for numerous reasons. But remember what your parents and teachers preached, "practice makes perfect"
Eventually you'll get the hang of it.

I had my first two reviews rejected and had to re-submit them. There's a link on the left hand side of your reviews page that lets you send in a request for further explanation (it's good to explain the situation and copy / paste the review mod's original comments into your request).  I'd be polite in my message to the mods if I were you.  Then I'd re-write and re-submit the reviews.  Both of mine were eventually approved. Remember that the original mission of TER, to protect guys and providers from ripoffs and bad experiences, is involved in the reviews.  That's your purpose for writing them.  Took me a few tries before I realized that.

I appreciate the feedback.  I have a few more comments.

First, I was eager to submit many reviews of providers I have seen over the past six months.  I started off with two reviews (one very good, and two which were rip-offs) because these were the more obvious hit and miss providers.  Someone posted earlier that since I had a bad experience with 2 out of 3 providers, that meant my expectations were too high.  I would like to inform that poster that these were merely three reviews out of perhaps 15-20 that I planned to submit.  The gambit of reviews I intended to write was a mixed bag of great, good, average, below average, and terrible, which is about what one would expect.

Regarding the content, I think people want to read an entertaining review.  The more detail and content, with humor as long as it's accurate, seem to be a positive thing to me.  Anyone can write a dry, dull review with no meaningful detail.  I tried to insert the blow by blow details, and for that I got back a message from the moderator saying that joking was not permitted.  I was like WTF?

What I find sad here is there is almost a disincentive to post.  I sat around for four months as a paid VIP and did nothing but take from the site.  Then, just as I tried to be a contributor, I get shafted and all three of my reviews get rejected.

I went over to another board and posted the reviews there at anothe site without any problem.  I guess I will have to post elsewhere since it is not worth my time to spend an hour on a review only to see it rejected like I am doing a term paper for a 5th grade English class.

I sincerely believe there are many good people here and lots of good content.  I just want to point out the ridiculous guidelines set forth by the moderator will make me be nothing more than a viewer from this point forward.  I had info a great number of providers from the Las Vegas area to share with the readers, but based on being censored, I see no reason to try and fight with the gatekeeper who is rejecting what I believe is a great amount of useful content.

Thanks again for the replies.

The funny thing is that the moderators are so strict when it comes to reviews but, up until recently, so lax at allowing people to flame the hell out of others who posted something that was not "acceptable."  Trust me, I have been on the receiving end of those attacks.  I think moderators need to be even-handed on moderating both reviews and the flames that some of these people continue to spew when someone holds a different opinion on these forums.

are vetted by paid staff, and the vetting is done with the goal of maintaining the integrity of the reviews.

If your review is denied, there are multiple ways to inquire about how to edit it for compliance or receiving other feedback.  Use the communications tool in the Account Manager for the best results.  Click the link

The risk of fakes is the problem.  If you review a well reviewed lady, it ought to be approved,  then you can resubmit your original review up to 90 days.
If the lady gets reviewed by a client with several reviews, then you could also re-submitt your review (up to the 90 days).
Check you reviews under account manager (button at the top) to see why the review was declined.  Your efforts were not wasted, as they can be edited & resubmitted.

Yes, your log in history, board posting history do make a differance.

I know, I have tried; but only ONE reviewer has ever truly been given any creative literary license in his reviews; 'PaulyWalnuts'.
attempts at interjecting creative fiction with the "purely fictional accounts of our experiences" are ubiquitously met with "Not objective" under reason why your review was rejected. Push the administration or administrator about your innocent effort to further entertain with your journalistic fiction and you’ll be promptly BANNED
