aww and thanks! i love this site. ive learned so much through reading the FAQ and discussion boards.

oh and if anybody can give me feedback on my pics and how well i'll do based on those it'll be really appreciated. those pics are 100 percent me and ive actually been told i look better in person with the client i have so far. well thanks! and i really do hope everyone has a merry christmas.

ive only had a few clients since ive only been er.. providing for a couple days. but how is the best way to greet a client? im used to shaking hands when I first meet someone but that seems a little too formal in this case and a hug might seem too familiar. Maybe i'm just supposed to greet them with a smile and a "hi i'm brooke?" any suggestions?

A smile and a "hi, i'm Brooke" works for me.  A pleasant handshake and a smile works for me.  A hug and a kiss on the cheek works for me.  Unzipping me and grabbing Mr. Biggus works for me.  Whatever you're comfortable doing that conveys that you're interested in the fellow and having a good time with him should work just fine.

Welcome aboard missbrookesong!! Looking at your link I could only wish you were in my area and we could resolve this question together..wink...wink..lol

I can only tell you the methods my first encounter ladies have done with me.

If our only contact was by email with very little back/forth conversations then I prefer a warm friendly smile and a light handshake. This followed by her holding my hand and sitting together still holding hands with our little small talk.

If we have talked a lot by email or phone or even text where it got very friendly I would like a very friendly light hug, followed by the hand holding while we chat some more.

My most and best was a lady that was visiting my area and she emailed for advice on a safe place to stay. That lead to talking on the phone for over 1 hour on her trip to my small town. By the time she got there and I arrived at the hotel, it was like a long lost girlfriend. When I arrived at the door she opened it up, jumped into my arms and that lead to lots of kisses, cuddles and then you know the rest!!

Hope this helps and good luck to you, you seem to be well on your way!!

A pretty smile, and a hug are a great way to greet someone for the first time in this profession. Personally I would find just a handshake as too businesslike. I know this IS a business, but it is a very personal one. A hug is a very nice way to say hello.

Once you have gotten to know each other then I would add in a kiss to the greeting.

Hi Brooke!
I come by LA quite often and I'll be sure to look you up next time.

To answer your question, I agree with the others;
I've had providers who did greet me with a handshake or a hug and others with a kiss on cheek or lips or LFK, or DFK but some even with a BJ. I like it all, and it is the variety that I'm after anyway ;o)

As you gain more experience you will be able to read people quickly and figure out what they're more comfortable with. Always do what you're comfortable with, because the last thing you want to do is to show that something is forced or ingenuine.

Good luck with everything

haha aww thanks ill look forward to meeting ya. thank you all for the advice. I know this question seems trivial but i've only had a few appointments so far and i'm never quite sure how to greet clients but this helped a lot. Again, Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas to you Brook and welcome.

I wish everyone good fortune and a happy and healthy Holiday.

I'm ready for New years!!!

Be safe everyone and watch out for the drunk drivers(me)

Just kidding, I'll get sloshed on champagne at indoors where it's safe (no drunk driving for me)!

Cheers
