When you give a Provider your work number does she allways call your work? If she calls do they  asked to speak with you in person or do they just ask who ever they talk too that you work there?

Generally then will call, pose as some third party firm hired for employment verification and confirm that you actually work there. You will probably never know that they called.

If you click on the "Search Messages" button above, then type in something like "work phone number", you will get many, many previous discussions of your very question.

"Hi this is Michelle from Visa. I am calling to verify the employment of a Mr....xxx yyy. Can you verify for me that he is gainfully employed with your company..???"

That's pretty much how it works.

Then the provider should be told that.

If it is a larger company that has a secretary answering calls, or some similar arrangement, then I don't see that it's any different then if you aren't the boss.

She just wants to confirm employment.

I'm the Chef/GM of a busy restaurant. Employment verification calls are always handed off to me anyway so I always alert the provider that I'll likely get the call and frequently answer the phone. I also suggest they call durring the lunch rush, ( 11:30 - 1:30 my time.) When they do there is so much hubbub going on it leaves little doubt I am who I say I am!

If your situation is unique like mine you may have to get creative to assure the provider you're bonafied.
