I'm rather new to the hobby, but have noticed that when I am meeting a provider for the first time, some will answer the door of their incall by opening it and pretty much being all the way behind the door as they fully open it. What gives?

and my reason has to do with not being seen by any passersby in the hall wearing sexy lingerie and fuck me heels....

I also think it appears more natural as if a gentleman is just going into his room, instead of being greeted by a drop dead gorgeous stranger as the door opens... (not that *I look like that.. but I do try...)

I didn't always do this, it just kind of developed by instinct to avoid the appearance of impropriety....

I also leave the bathroom light on and the door open, so as to not make the gent uncomfortable...

I suppose that the first moment could be disconcerting, but I think it is worth it to preserve the security and discretion of the incall location...

They do this so that they will not be seen by maids or folks passing in the hallway.  Some gals will even leave the door unlocked of they know you so that yo can come right in and not have to knock,  It's all about keeping as low a profile as possible.

All of them do this, since they will most likely being waring lingerie, or something sexy just for you.  Just walk through the door, let her close it, and there she is, ready for fun and games with you.  Don't sweat this, expect it....

I have experienced the "behind the door" thing and it is done for valid reasons outlined here.  But I recently visited a regular for the 4th time...she left the door unlocked for me, when I walked into the room I found her sitting on a couch completely naked rubbing herself to get ready for me...talk about hot!!!!

Well, opening the door so that everyone can see I'm greeting you in thigh highs and a flimsy little froth of lingirie really isn't a good idea. Nothing screams "there's a hooker among us!" like showing off our sexy wear to anyone who happens to be passing by.

The only time I was a little nervous about it was when I was naked waiting in a hot tub for my ATF...

A Fav lady leaves her door open & I have intructions to come in & lock the door before proceeding to her inner sanctum.
Other Favs will stay out of sight even if they have a cover up on over the frills.  Enter, the fun starts as soon as the door latches.  Wait for the click!  

Being discrete is what the hobby is about...  "behind closed doors"...  is a vital part.
