Help please. Trying to contact someone and get a no-go response with "default mail client not installed." Can you tell me what that means? What to do to correct.

In other words your browser can't find a program to use to send the email.

If you have an email program or are using web mail you might be able to cut and paste the email address into a new message in that.

Just a guess.

That's weird that there's no default e-mail app, though. Windows XP has either Outlook Express or Windows Live E-mail (or whatever the latter is called) and Mac OS X has Apple Mail. Perhaps the OP had a trusted friend or relative set up his Windows PC for him and the friend/relative removed the e-mail app, knowing the OP would just use webmail, to free up some HDD (or SSD, if it's a netbook so equipped) space.
