I'm new to the site and new to the business. I made the decision two weeks ago put up my ad and webpage and I'm now verified on datecheck as well. I've had only about 4 inquiries. What do I do now? Just sit and wait until someone sends me an email? Is there something else I could be doing in order to get things moving? If a provider is new and does not have the reviews needed to meet more people. How do I get started?

I know rates and services should not be discussed over the phone or in an email, but different people have different ideas of what gfe and fs include. How do I clear up my understanding w/o actually mentioning acts, terms, rates, etc?

When screening, what should I look for?

You should refer questions to your web site.  You are quite correct that GFE has no set defination these days...  it's more of an advertizing term.  To ME GFE is how I feel when I leave a lady.  I feel GFE includes more kissing & cuddling.  GFE contrasts with PSE which is seems to be more of a bang fest.

You menu should make clear if you offer CBJ or BBBJ.  (Or "safety girl" or "everything safe")  F/S is never offered unprotected.

You should put a TER logo / link on your site as required so you can link to it.  It may take a while to get your first TER review but once you do, you request your membership be linked top your profile.  Even without that, you can participate on any board...  but only one "ad" per 7 days on the local board for the area-areas you are available (drop down menu to your left).  It may be hard to get clients without reviews but a bit of chit-chat can get the guys comfortable with you.  As a newbie, you are moderated until the staff decides they can trust you...  usually they'll entertain requests after 30 days or so.  It usually takes a day or so for your posts/replies to go up.  You can plan for ads but it's a PITA for threads.

Learn how to screen.  Learn about the 2 call system.  Never tell them exactly where you are until they arrive...  I've had ladies check from the hotel window before giving me the room number.  Get a work phone.  Keep work separate from your private life.  Do not work from your living space.  It may cost more, but you need to practice security at all times.

Although writen for the client, there is much to be learned from the Newbie Manual (link at the top of this board.)  Read this board & the others until you can answer every thing yourself.

I hope this helps,
Best Wishes,
skb

Jade, have you ever thought about working for an agency. Since you're new, there's a lot to learn.
By working for an agency you can learn the biz.
After awhile you can go indie.  Many indies started at agency. It's kinda common. Just a thought. Good luck

Thank you all for your replies and pointing me in the right direction. I found the manual and browed the site some more. The information here is very helpful. Hidden, to answer your question, I did check the limited 2-3 agencies here in town, and I've found they are either not hiring at the moment or are looking for a certain type of woman. I even got a couple of "This number is disconnected or no longer in service..." when I called. Indy seems to have been the way to go for me down here. I've done TONS of reading and research from many different sources since I made up my mind about 3 weeks ago. I have a general idea of things, but I know that a lot comes with experience which is much different than just simply reading. In the meantime, I do plan on keeping a presence here on the site while being patient as I have been advised. I'm glad you guys are here!
