How do you expect to order a phone without providing a name, a shipping address and the particulars of your payment (e.g., credit or debit card, PayPal)?

how about the t-mobile brand phones , do all brands of prepaid phones not keep any personal info on you?

When you register the phone online, use the name you want and your hobby e-mail address.

I use my phone constantly for work and only have stored people I truly call frequently. Obviously a provider would not be stored. Trying to sort through all the calls would certainly give somebody a hobby (no pun intended)!
So, wouldn't it be much harder to explain a new phone that got found than a random call here and there?

I have been using a pre-paid phone from t-mobile, but it's a hassle to use for texting, which my fav lady likes.  So, I used my personal phone.  Bad mistake.

The phone company keeps track of all the numbers and it is relatively easy to search for that phone on the internet.  Couple the phone number with the remote location (las vegas) and there's instant incrimination.

Granted, it would have to take the suspicion to start looking in the first place, but given the stakes, complete, total discreetness is imperative, imho.

So, I understand the 'hide in plain sight' rationale, it doesnt' work for me.  Those numbers will now sit on the phone bills forever, mute testimony to your activities.

I now have aquired a t-mob phone from costco, with 1000 minutes, each about $100.  The minutes last a year or more, so all it takes now is keeping that phone hidden.  Remember to erase all phone call logs, in case someone does pry.

Just check out Tiger's texting problem, and John Edwards mistress problem.  Both were careless in basic discretion, particularly Edwards, to the point of rank stupidity.
