So read over their site very carefully and follow their instructions.

If they do not specify, then write and ask.  You might at that time give your name, address and phone number and ask if that is sufficient.

They will either get back to you and ask for more, or you won't hear at all.  If the latter, then just start over with someone else.

Another newbie here, 1st post, sorry if this has been covered.  I see a fair amount of provider ads say newbies welcome, yet I read here a lot that people don't get responses when they make contact in this situation.  I did learn here that an e-mail is better than the contact form in most cases.

My question is, just how much info should be put in the origional contact e-mail?  I have no problem with giving out the necessary personal info, I just don't care to be spreading it all over when they have no intention of responding.

I have no references, but do have a solid verifiable work history, and will provide what is necessary, but only when I feel there is a real chance of my first.

Thoughts, comments??

If tyhe website/ad doesn't have any  requested information, I give them my name, cell #, TER handle, and employment status. If they want more, they ask.

It doesn't hurt to introduce yourself in a chatty way.  Show a bit of personality.  If there's no instructions about screening information it's usually okay to hold back the details.  Say something like "I'll send my screening info once I've heard from you and know what details you would prefer to have."  That way if you hear nothing, no worries.  If she replies you can take it from there.

Also, if could be that some of the women you are contacting DON'T screen.  Do you want to see someone that maybe too young/naive/new to the biz to take this precaution?

Thanks for the help.  I will make sure that I read the website instructions, and just supply what is required.

And no, I am not looking for ladies that don't screen.  Big mistake even for a newbie.
