I am on a couple of mailing lists. It is helpful if you travel or are offering a special

I just had a thought run through my head...let's say I offered an option to join my mailing list on my website to let clients know about specials/duos/etc. Is that something you ladies do? Guys, is that something you'd like to receive?

This is one of those mixed answers questions. Some ladies do have that option on their websites. Some dont. Some guys would be interested in getting those types of emails and some dont want them. Some guys never want a provider contacting them, unless it is a reply to their request for a date. Others are happy to get a heads up when a lady is in their town or having a special. The important thing is having the option. If it is an option to sign up, then its their choice. Some ladies have been known to eblast everyone in their address book about a special or an upcoming tour. Some guys dont take to kindly to that. So as long as there is an opt in or opt out choice, I think it is fine.

Another thing to remember is, if you do eblast, make sure to use the BCC field. You dont want to email all your clients and potential clients the adresses of all your other clients. Sounds common sense but it actually happens a lot. And many guys are not smart enough to get a hobby email account so now their email address that is tied in to their work or home and facebook accts etc, is out there.

Yeah I think I'll go for the opt in/opt out type of thing.

Also, thanks so much for the BCC reminder. I always forget to do that!

I'm on a couple of mailing lists/news letters for a few of the ladies I have seen already. I find them very helpful. Some just have a calendar and others include specials or pictures of the lady not seen elsewhere which is a nice touch.

... I don't like getting those constant emails reminding me of the specials and whatnot.

If I wanted to see a lady, it won't be because of a special that she is running.

If I got one of those... it goes straight to the spam box.

You moron! She is talking about a mailing list that guys opt into. Not random unsolicited emails!
Of course you can't read this anyway.

Exactly. I wouldn't just hold onto every client's email and send them weekly Tobi catalogues.

asking the question in the original post if you knew the answer already?

Uhhhh because I didn't know the answer. My question was whether or not anyone on the boards uses them and/or likes them. Regardless of the answer, I planned to avoid anything too spammy.

And I wasn't talking to you anyway.

Even if you know he is right....ask someone else.

Yeah, his PMs to me became pretty indicative of just how batshit crazy he is fairly quickly.

The guy is seriously dangerous.

Yet, you responded to my question. That makes it that you were talking to me.

Nice going.

From the hookers I know they all have YOU on their "spam list" as well.

Makes perfect sense to me!

Offer it only to those you're are genuinely interested in seeing again and offer it privately after the session has ended.

If you want to offer something on your website then just for tour mailings.  You might get a feel for what areas to tour in based on responses.

So maybe you wind up with two lists.  One for your hometown guys and one for going traveling.
(don't mix them up:))

Gotcha. I'll have to see what my options are but thanks so much for the tip! :)

But be smart enough to put everything in the BCC field and not the "to" field.  No one should be seeing who else is on the mailing list.
