That a reviewed provider is not LE?  Some of the reviews seem almost too good to be true.  Just curious.  Anyone ever run in to this?

know that you are not an LE?

There is always a possibility that she might be working with LE, albeit very slim.  If you see well reviewed providers, you mitigate the risk of running into LE posing as a provider.

That should give you a good idea about the possibility of LE posing as provider. It's easy to fake a few reviews, but it's much harder to fake numerous reviews with reviewers's numerous reviews. When you see one or two reviews by reviewers who only posted one or two reviews, the risk would be higher.

Of course, a girl with one or two reviews could be LE, and sticking to a well reviewed girl can definitely reduce (if not eliminate the risk) the risk of her being LE.

However, even a well known girl can be used by LE to bust Johns, if they bust her before and then use her as a bait to get to us. The only way to eliminate that risk is not to hobby at all. Although, I don't worry too much of that happening, I am not in denial of the risk.

Reason I ask is because I know this provider use to work for an agency that was busted.  I don't know if any provider got busted but the guy running the website was a professor at a local university so it made big news.  The last 3 out of  5 reviews were by people with a ton of reviews.  2 of the 5 only had 1 or 2 reviews but they weren't the most recent reviewers.  I ask because it is my first time and don't want to get busted.  I'm also married and don't need this ruining my life.  If they work for an agency is it more or less likely LE? Thanks for your help.

Stick to well reviewed indies. Agencies are always on LE radar, because by busting them LE can get media attention. Busting one or two indies doesn't get LE what they crave for the most. Also, lot of agencies get busted for tax evasion. Two well known agencies in DC area got busted for tax reasons earlier this year.

Find a newbie friendly provider, and play it safe.

I don't know where you are physically located, but by any chance you are in Montgomery County MD, avoid that area for hobbying at all costs. Its a hot bed for LE. A short trip to Northern VA (NoVA) or Downtown DC is much safer.

Good luck...

(VG) they were never busted. Not by LE anyway. There was an "investigative report" done on them, by some fly by night newspaper, then the "real" news agencies picked up the story, the professor was outed, and then the agency closed down...for a while. Then they reopened under another name. Plus some of the gals work as independants. If I am thinking about the same "bust," then you should be safe. As I said, there was never an LE bust. If you are talkig about another similar story then I don't know, but it sure sounded familiar when you mentioned the professor and "big news"

In any case, we all take risks in this hobby. The idea is to minimize the risks. One way to do that is to get VIP here, and read reviews. Stick to well reviewed ladies who are reviewed by guys with lots of reviews themselves. With VIP, You can also PM the reviewers.

If you are VIP, and think we might be talking about the same agency, PM me.

This is a hobby where discretion & keeping a low profile & not being conspicious are the key.  If you keep this in mind and always try to reduce your noticeability...  and clients noticeability leads directly to her noticeability...  you'll be good.

Keep this in mind. All sorts of things can and have happened, but most of the scenarios that have been discussed on this thread are very unusual. Some probably verge on the same odds as going to a movie theater and being shot by a psycho.

If you exercise normal caution - stick to well-reviewed providers and are careful in your correspondence and how you arrive to the date - the odds of being busted are probably a lot lower than that you will have an accident on the way to the date. Sure, you can be unlucky, be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but the risk of that is pretty minimal.

So, unless you are behaving like an idiot, the question is whether or not you are comfortable taking on any extra risk at all. And you are correct that the main risk is that you will somehow get outed and have to deal with all that entails. In most places, even if you are picked up by LE, the primary consequence is that they out you.

Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss this further.

You could scare off providers just by your handle. Now knowing you are fron Hawaii, that is also slang for something else. Neither of which may or may not have anything to do with your selection of that handle. Hiwever, you might consider changing it. Just saying.

Obviously, with the reference to the busted professor running a website, this dude is located in New Mexico.

Anyways, yes, two DC agencies got busted. And yes, agencies usually get busted for tax evasion.
However, in  CDC and DMVIndy were busted, because the owners used violence and threat to maintain their operations, and for money laundering. If you actually read the indictment, one of the workers actually tried to put in the money $9900 /day for three consecutive days to avoid filing a report. Bank workers aren't stupid and they know when one is restructuring. They got reported.
Know your facts before talking. Also, one of the classy DC escorts who still tours in our area and the driver outed the owners of these agencies to the Fed, after they got caught. I am not going to mention that escorts name, but I sure wouldn't want to be associated with her ;)

A lot of us are familiar with the New Mexico story, but somehow reading popo's post, I knew he was talking about the Hawaii agency. He confirmed that by replying to Curly that he is in Hawaii, and in his reply to me. In any case, I am communicating with him via PM now.

If you are interested in the Hawaii story, here is a link from my post on the GD board in February.

Hey Curly - curious which 2 NOVA / DC agencies were busted last year (assume they are still advertising).  Also, do you have any reputable ones that you recommend in the area?
