Thanks for all the help guys. All points duly noted!

I think I know the answer to my question, but I am going to ask it anyway. I also asked TER via helpdesk which they responded to, but I may have misunderstood their answer, or they left something out when they replied.

I wanted to review a favorite provider more than once, I want other TER members to know that she continuously provides top notch service and I want to share the details with VIP members. I asked TER and got the answer that "yes I can review a provider a second, third or more time after my first review I posted, as long as I've met with her the 2nd, 3rd, and more times, and I understood that the subsequent review will not count or be applied with 15 days of VIP credit. [That is fine, I just wanted the subsequent reviews to show up.]

What happened when I submitted subsequent review is... the previous review got "unapproved" and no longer shows up in the providers profile.

I can view it myself as in "my reviews" but it is no longer public.

Is this the way it always works when submitting subsequent reviews?

Or... is there a way all the subsequent reviews are available for all to see in a provider's profile?

The catch is, you will only get the free VIP days for the first one.  All reviews will stay on your profile, but only the most recent will appear on hers.  Previous ones on your profile will be marked as 'unapprpved'  with only the most recent marked 'approved'.  No one but you can see the unapproved ones after the new one gets approved, and there is no way for anyone but you to see them.

Unless there is a significant change in what you are reporting, why repeat reviews of same provider.  Only other reason would be to get her name on the first page when someone searches reviews in her city.  In your post, you answered all of your questions, I just verified them.

for a provider to have ten reviews from the same guy! They would be meaningless to anyone else looking at her reviews. Yes, that is the way it has always been when submitting subsequent reviews. Only the most recent one from the same reviewer will show up in her public profile.

As swim has said, it only makes sense to write a suybsequent reveiw to keep her name on the first page or if something substantial changed. So if the lady hasn't had a review in a while, and you want to help her out by giving her a current review, that is one reason to do it. Another reason is if her performance has gone down or up, and your ratings numbers will change. Another reason is if the date is a completely different type of date. For example, your first date was a one hour session, and a more recent one was a dinner date or overnight. Other than those reasons, I see no reason to write a subsequent review of someone you already reviewed.

I'm new here and my first review of a girl went thru, but I wanted to add some more good things and remove one thing that was actually not correct. So I re-wrote it and submitted it.

Will the old review be replaced with the new one... and how long will that take?

No idea how long it will take to post.  I submitted my latest review Friday, it posted today.  You just never know, it depends on how many reviews they have to approve and how many staffers are working the approvals.  If it's not up in about 72 hrs, contact admin, that's about the norm.

Just a hint, when you write the review, do it on a word processor program.  Let it sit a couple of days, then go back and read it.  Edit it if you need to, and then submit it.  That way you don't have to fill out all that crap twice.  Just a suggestion, that's what I do.

Thanks swim. I already submitted the re-write so hopefully that will take care of the issue.

Thanks Swim and Storm

yes you are right, I had'nt thought about implications of multiple reviews from one person, I would'nt try to stack a deck, however I could see how a provider could benefit if a "shill" gave her high ratings over and over.

I also agree with PerfectStorm, a provider *may* differ over time, or the experience may change for better or worse, rates may change for services offered, etc. and if so, I want the TER member community to know about it. In my recent instance, same provider went above and beyond and provided GFE I hadn't experianced before and I wanted it known so other will know what they can expect.

Those would be the reason *FOR* updating a review, the reason *NOT* to update is if it was same price, same service as usual.

Graci!

you can submit a problem report to correct it, without having to write a completely new review.  If she has upgraded her offerings, and you got the benefit of that, I would write a new review reflecting that.  For something minor, just do the problem report.

One thing to think about is that some providers will offer extra services to their regulars, that they may not offer to everyone, so before you write a new review, you might want to think about if the special attention you got is a YMMV thing that you might not want to share. (Or she may not want you to share.)

If you are pretty sure it is not a YMMV thing, and her services have greatly improved (or gone down) and maybe you want to change an "8" to a "9" or a "9" to an "8" or something like that, then go ahead and write the new review.

If it is just a change in the profile, then Swim is correct, in that most small changes in the profile can be handled by submitting a problem report. Changes in her "gift" rate, changes in her website or ad links, changes in services (for example she used to do cbj, but now does bbbj), can all be done with problem reports. You also get two free VIP days for every problem report that is approved. Submitting a new review won't change anything on the profile anyway.
