sorry about the alias, but have to be careful on this subject.  Ladies, I have been in the hobby for long enough to know that safety is everyone's #1 priority.  I would never put someone in a bad situation, nor do i expect them to put me in one.  Now, i may be overly concerned about this, but I would like your thoughts.
while trimming around jr, i accidentally knicked my inner thigh - basically, it's the size of a minor shaving incident.  it's pretty much healed, but there is a scab from the wound.  I have a date this weekend, and am not sure if i should cancel it, or just put a bandaid on it...it's not bleeding, it's healed, but i know that your safety is #1...so ladies, what are your thoughts?

Guy here...  A bandaid is a bad idea as it might appear you were covering something you needed to hide.  This would probably upset her greatly.

I have had injection marks from medical treatments.  Horrid bruises from a accident.  I pointed them out, we agreed to stay away from them...  had a great time.

My opinion, just be honest.  It can really go either way, and it's up to the ASP.  Best of luck.

Also, a guy here. Try superglue rather than a band-aid.

You can try some liquid skin or liquid bandaid, it is available at any pharmacy and will help keep bacteria out. Point is out to her and let her know what happened. If it is not bleeding and nearly healed it should be no problem, she may just want to stay away from that spot. Most of us have knicked ourself at some point when shaving and can sympathize.

A scab it is not 100% healed.

I suggest Neosporin.

Thank you

The worst thing you can do is be dishonest.  It's there.  Assume she will see it, mention it before she does.  Tell her the truth.  Suggest staying away from it.  I've never had a lady object...  had I lied or tried to cover it up, she'd be expending time & energy trying to get a good look & figure out what's going on, instead of focusing on the action.

How about Bacitracin? (lol)   I know that's not the point....but,  be careful of topical meds too!

Thanks!

Take care :)
