I am not a VIP member - but recieved an email notification- 2 actually- that I have private mail, but when I try I cant access the mail.

I am wondering if I am perhaps doing something wrong- or if in fact i have to be a VIP to read the private mail...
And if that is the case- I wonder why they allow them to be sent instead of a message to the sender informing them I am not a VIP and cannot recieve PM....
I just feel badly thinking someone might think I am ignoring them!

You can not read or send PM's if you are not VIP. This is a very annoying glitch in the system that probably exists simply to get folks to sign up for VIP status.

I would post on your local board that you can not receive PM's.  This should get the message to who ever PM's you.

Providers can get their bio linked to their membership (after they recieve reviews that set up their bio page).  Providers recieve free "Limited VIP".  I believe providers then can see their own reviews but also access the PM system.

...Uncheck the box that says 'email notification of new personal message'.  That way it won't drive you crazy not to get your PMs. Ignorance is bliss.

i caved and joined. From a womens stand point.. The only minus is getting messages. Everything else... isnt needed.. I dont care to see what others reviews are..

If you have a review, contact TER to have them link your review to your user name. Then you will recieve limited VIP status as a provider that includes the ability to send and recieve private messages.

I am still waiting for the ever elusive first review since re-emerging - but I appreciate the info

I am not sure of the rules on the boards just yet, and dont want to break any rules without knowing...

I do have an ad up on the Fl board that links to my site, and will be joining sometime this weekend to access the mail here
