Hello, I'm Sky Rodgers :-)

Though I have a few reviews from last year on TER, I am a newbie with using, posting and chatting on this site. I recently moved to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas. I'm looking forward to having some great experiences here!
Is chatting the best way to let clients know you are available? Are there other ways to communicate?

I don't think the chat feature on TER is used much, if at all, anymore.  

You can post a free ad on the Los Angeles ad board once every 7 days. Your ad has to link to another internet ad or website. You can actually link it to your p411 profile, or even your TER review profile. Read the Provider Ad Posting Guidelines. You can find them in the Self Help Center (which is located at the top of the page near the red and white life preserver). While there you should read all of the Self Help Center. There is a lot of good info there about the site and the hobby in general.

To get known on TER, you can also join in discussions on the Los Angeles board (or actually any discussion board for that matter, but most of your potential clients will come from that board).

You can also post pictures on "theme day" threads. Your pictures will have to be hosted on a picture hosting site such as imagecoast.

What he told you is the best way to get attention on this site.  The more your name appears, the more people will be aware of you.  Definitely read the entire self help center, and feel free to ask questions here on this forum.
