This board is a great resource for new hobbyists and providers alike, to ask basic questions in a friendly environment.  Having said that, I've seen quite a few posts by some new faces.  Those folks seem to be answering as many questions as they're asking.  Maybe it's just me, but I think that a newbie should learn more by asking, and listening attentively, rather than guessing at answers.

Please understand, I'm not picking on anyone, nor am I trying to stifle participation.  I just would hate to see someone take bad advice, and put themselves in harm's way because of it.  There are plenty of people that have been around the block who come here to help.  For the new kids here, you should understand who those people are, and how to identify them.  If you can't do that, you have the potential to do something very foolish.

Preaching has ended.  Good luck to all...

I don't know if you were referring to any of my posts but I don't think I spread any bad info , do you ?

I think that your advice here is fine, but I've been here long enough to process it.  I know guys that don't worry if a lady doesn't screen, and they're smart hobbyists.  I would NEVER recommend that approach to a newbie, because it's a dangerous approach to someone that can't tell the difference.

You have 14 posts here, all in the last 4 days.  I don't know your history.  Certainly, lots of people find TER after years of hobbying, but many others find it at the beginning of their adventure (me for one).  If I had to guess, I'd say that you're kinda new.  This hobby has a way of being very addictive until you settle in.  You appear to be in the euphoria stage.  BTW, it's a great time, so enjoy the shit out of it.  :)

Yup , I'm a newbie all right. A very cautious one too.I saw one girl had an ad on cL and BP.
She was drop dead gorgeous and a totally unbelievable body. But the thing is she did incalls with no screening and charged about half (200 roses) of what some of these classy milfs are charging. And this girl is in her 20's.This arouses my suspicions (among other things , lol)

I was noticing the samething. As HaleyOrlando would say "this is the nicest place on TER"
However, the heavy lifing might be best left to the vets. No offense to any newbies.

and I only looked down three posts lol

(remotely cautious providers are not in the habit of meeting un-screened gentlemen for coffee or anything else lol)

It really is best to establish a trackrecord before giving advice in this sport.

If I were the board-god, I'd make it so you had to have a minimum 10 reviews before posting responses to the OP

I've seen so much off the wall stuff posted by noobs who did not know their way around lol....

While I fully agree with all of the above statements.  And seriously, if someone is just learning don't take their advice!  While it's helpful to keep in mind someone's advice (even a vet) the responsibility lays on each person for themselves in keeping themselves safe.  Being lead to that point is great... There seems to be a notion on here by some that just because someone wasn't on here forever that they are "newbies" and don't know anything and I personally find that offensive and degrading when those of us who have been around longer are dismissed as morons just because they assume if they don't directly know the person that they are new.  Assuming someone is new, because you haven't "heard' of them before is a lack of class and common sense as far as I am concerned.  And yes I maybe one of the few "newbies" as I have had pointed out to me that is in this situation.  I am not trying to Rant but I do not like being labeled as something I am not and maybe someone else has been mislabeled like I tend to be.

And again I do agree with above posts, one should keep a level head and examine all avenues available and follow your gut.  Be safe and smart.

Advice taken.  I freely admit I don't know what  I'm doing but I will say this: I know one hell of a lot more than I did a week ago and it's in big thanks to the people on this board.

If I've said anything not in keeping with rules, you have my apology, I do believe I prefaced everything I've said with, "I'm new but yadda yadda."

I know you said it wasn't directed at anyone, but I just needed to say that.  Sometimes the fingers get ahead of the brain so I'm content to sit back and absorb.

Hell, I have a tough enough time following them :) so there's no need to apologize.

I think it's great that this forum exists, and everybody should feel free to contribute.  I just saw that lots of new folks were giving and getting at the same time, and thought it could get someone in trouble.

Oh, I think you're right.  Talk is cheap, the reality could be a lot more expensive.

I figure if I can let people get a feel for me on here one of you boys will trust the cyber-me enough to try it IRL.  But I can sit here and say I'm trustworthy until I'm blue in the face and it's still talk, it's still cheap, and my ass isn't.

I don't want to get in trouble or be the trouble-bringer for anyone, bottom line, so please do let me know privately in email if I've done something out of line.

Thanks,
Sascha

... know what you mean Sascha, I can say til I'm blue in the face I'm worth a million $$$... lol

Right on Little Phil!  Just so you know it wasn't directed at anyone special (my above rant)

I don't know *everything* but I sure make the effort to become more knowledgeable on anything in life.

Is it even allowed to say NerdSexy in the same sentence?

-NerdSexyflirtAmber lol

I'm a newbie myself.  If I were to give out advises personally I would end my post with a disclaimer.   Though folks here are friendly as I don't see newbies being told to go RTFM (read the fabulous/f@#king manual) when same how-do-I type of questions are posted over and over again :-)

Just a thought for you--some of the newbies here may well not be new to the hobby at all. ;-)

I don't have a single review, but I doubt anyone here would call me a newbie.

That said, I agree with both you and LittlePhil. A person should get more than just a little experience before giving advice either here or the Legal board. Following unsound advice on either board could land someone in divorce court or jail or both. lol

When the questions involve how this site works, policy questions, etc. I agree with you. When they involve general questions about the adult entertainment industry, I partially agree with you. When they are general questions about sex, philosophy or life in general, I completely disagree.

I may be a newbie on this site, but I've been sexually active for 38 years and have been using the services of female escorts for a little over a year now, and while I still have a lot to learn, I've learned a lot from my providers. I've also taught college courses in general biology, human anatomy and physiology, and human sexuality and have worked in the field of medical education. There are some subjects on which I am as qualified to comment as anyone else here.

No one here is immune from criticism. Try posting something ignorant and see what happens. Apart from critical responses from the community in general, the moderators are going to remove (or not post in the first place) any posts that are egregiously misinformed.

of how much literal "experience" a TER hobbyist has.

But it's not correct to make an assumption regarding a particular gent's level of experience based on reviews alone

If I reviewed all of the UTR girls I've seen I'd have more than double the current 45 reviews lol. And if you and I could retroactively review past "loves" here (hell -if we could *remember* a third of them LOL), we would probably have five thousand reviews between us ';-)
