Some of you post very helpful research results showing that bogus ads are running images copied from other sources.  Are you using Google Images for your research?  If so, how are you managing to do this when the ad images have blocked right-clicks?  I am not tech savvy and would appreciate any pointers.  Thank you

Great tool to spot fake pictures.. ! If you are a MAC user you can maybe drag to the desktop the images and use them on this website... Not sure how to do it on PC....

or Google reverse image search.  You can put the URL of the image in GRIS or tineye to search the image if you can't drag it

Thank you for that suggestion.  But tineye seems also to require an image url, and if right-click is blocked I do not see a way to obtain the url. You know those books on Computers for Dummies?  Well, I'm the Dummy.....

Aren't we all the dummy?  Arthur Clarke postulates that any sufficiently advanced technology is akin to magic.

Click on the picture in question and open it.  OK, so go to the URL bar in your browser and highlight the entire address shown there.  Right click and copy OR CTRL and the "C" key at the same time.  Go to the URL field in TINEYE or GRIS and right click and paste OR CTRL and "V" at the same time.  This will copy and paste the URL of the image into the URL field in TINEYE or GRIS.

Then go ahead and search and find out if you are dealing with a dumb ass that can't figure out the we can use TINEYE or GRIS to catch her.

I hope this helps you.  Just remember that the dumbest question is the one that is unasked.

Tineye was good when it first came out but it has been far surpassed by google image. Many times google image can find dozens of matches, when tineye returns zero on the same image.

To get past "right click disabling." you can probably get more help just by googling that than asking here. (Google something like, "right click disabled" or "bypassing right click disabled images."

One method that has worked for me is to left click the image and drag the curser to the main address bar. Then you can get the picture url and paste it in google image search.

One thing about google image: It offers "visually similar images".  You can search the image of some MILF and end up with Mother Theresa or a baby on a pony ride.  It can be really funny sometimes.

And I have seen similar things but at least those pop up in the "visually similar" section, not in the exact image matches, and it is still better at capturing exact images than tineye.

Thanks all for the pieces of the puzzle.  Perfectstorm's solution to the blocked right-click works for me on PC with Google Chrome.  Got the URL.
