I'm new to this and have a few questions.

First Contact - How long before the typical provider replies?

At what point, should one decide to contact another provider, after a no response?

It will vary.  We are, after all, dealing with individuals.  I have received responses everywhere from 3 minutes to 3 months later.
Generally, I think 24 to 48 hours is plenty of time for a response.  If she hasn't answered by then, she likely isn't going to.

I've had a few problems with non-responses.  I guess they can smell my cheap cologne through the e-mai or phone lines?  

Seriously, I would wait about three or four days, and then send a follow-up e-mail or phone call.  If you don't hear back after that one, move on to someone else.

In my expereince, 24 hrs. is enough time.  Good providers will usually respond within that time frame.  Before contacting another provider, I would consider following up with the one you originally contacted, in case there is something happening with her that is causing the delay.  But after 48 - 72 hrs. w/no reply, time to move on and find another to play with...

Note that if you have a confined window of oppurtunity, and you are touching base with providers you have not seen previously, it's best to have a plan b (and c).  Happy hunting...

We all learn to walk before we run, and we learn to catch before playing short-stop between 1st & 2nd base.

 Hobbying is a problematic endeavour; but once you learn the ropes, have a B, C & D plan in place and a few successful trysts under your belt the wait for a returned call or e-mail will only be a minor factor in how long until your weenie is again wet.

I emailed an absolute beauty last night and to my delight she got back to me in less than 12 hours with a wonderful long reply.  That's what I call excellent service.

Heard, back late yesterday. Looks like the tip about three days was about right.

I would say 24 to 48 is an acceptable time frame to get back to you. If your truly interested in only that lady try sending a second email. Just to make sure she got it. if nothing after that seek another
