I am new to the hobby and I realize that this question is probably redundant but I have been unable to find an exact answer and felt that it is important to get it correct.  If I have a question regarding the donation I want to make absolute sure that I don't under pay but is there a way for me to discuss it or ask a question about it to the provider without it being inappropriate and if not does anyone have any suggestions about how else I could address the issue.

Thanks

I know many providers do not discuss rates on the phone or in person. Usually the rates are outline on there website. What I suggest when you make an appointment, let the provider know what amount of time you are interested in (60mins, 90mins etc). The End!

Isn't she posting the rate on her website or ad?

For example, if her site shows $250/hr, and a recent ad has a special for $200/hr; tell her at the time you make the appointment that you saw the ad (give the date too) and want to make an appointment based on the donation shown there.

When you arrive, repeat that (and also the length of time)  This way, you'll avoid the possibility of miscommunication, which has happened to me on occasion.

Avoid seeing providers whose sites say that donations will be discussed later.  That's always an invitation to disaster.

One thing you don't want to do is use the amount on the lady's profile, which may be outdated.  Her web site should be an accurate source of the correct amount.

(from the other side of the fence... )

... I make sure there is an understanding BEFOREhand.  If she has a site, with it listed just ask her if that is accurate.  I'd be worried about safety and games if there is no understanding.
