BBBJ, DATY, and protocols on STDs

Some background:  I have dabbled with providers a few times in recent years....but lately am taking the hobby more seriously with 4 sessions with different providers the past month...I really love TER and all the info/resources here.

I also love the whole GFE scene and think it's great and really fun.
I also love getting BBBJ and giving DATY...just absolutely a blast.

But I do wonder about protocols related to STDs with these oral-icious activities?

No doubt many/most providers insist on hats for other other pussy and ass connections.
What's the story on that most of the same GFE providers don't worry about hats for BBBJ and DATY?

While I wish I were naive enough to think that there is no risk in getting STDs from oral-licious action...I understand that the hobby has it's risks.  But it is hard not to notice...and to think it's a total turn on that so may GFE are fine with uncovered oral action.  It seems like they don't think the risks are that bad.

I like the more experienced providers that have been in the business a few years or more...they seem to be confident in their ability to provide a clean, fun, STD- free experience...one of them told me that most STDS have tell-tale signs they immediately look out for: dripping, smelly discharges, etc. and are confident that they would catch such a situation at the time they meet someone.  Again, I know it is not a 100% guarantee.

Of course I don't want to blow the good vibe/fun of meeting a new provider and getting it on...do most hobbyist just take at face value that an experienced provider with good reviews in TER and has been in the biz at least a few years is a good bet to be clean if she offers these uncovered services?

I think it's so cool that a good number of providers go for BBBJ and swallow.  I have a nice list of providers I want to visit soon and go for it...but just wondering what others (both providers and hobbyist) think about these risks...also considering that some hobbyist have other regular partners to consider too.

Good questions

P4P is risk vs reward.

Most guys here are comfortable taking the chance.  
Most of us also want to engage in as many activities as we can sans condom.

I'd advise you read up on signs to look for,  and some std statistics so you can determine what is and is not acceptable risk for you.  

Also,  there are many beautiful escorts who only provide CBJ, or who use female condoms if that's something you can get into.

The hobby is a contact sport, you can get hurt playing

contact sports. Only you can decide what level of the risk reward ratio you can tolerate.

You can look around the site and there are several threads about STDs. You can google and find a wealth of information on them as well. It is a risk you take when you bump uglies with any sexual partner regardless if compensation is involved.

I would say, opinion, an experienced pro is less likely to have them, then a girl you meet at a bar. Back page girls and street walkers are an entire different category. You should get tested periodically to keep up your end of the bargain as well.

The wife and I at times hook up with other couples.(Swinging) We know the risks, are fairly selective and get to know people before we take the plunge. We also get tested a couple times a year.

You can worry about the "protocols"....

I go by my experience:

12 years + BBBJ's from some 60+ women (including a few senoritas in Tijuana) =  nada

Only more like 40 years and 300+ gals.

To the OP:  You have to determine what your level of comfort is and then stick to it.  There's no point in going out on a date and feeling all upset about it.  This is not like having to go to the dentist, it's supposed to be fun.

Concern is normal and we must be cautious...

...in the choices that we make. In the end it comes down to everyone's risk level- many will find that the risk just isn't worth continuing in this hobby. But many of us decide that it's a risk worth taking.I want to live life to its fullest, and enjoying the company of wonderful women is a large part of that

All the replies have been great...agree with it all and I'm feeling fine about how I am going about this now and have already taken good action and had a great,delicious bbbj from a superb provider this afternoon.  Nice day for sure.  Thanks for the kind info and support.

This hobby of ours is always a risk,

you have to stay in your comfort zone.  I think most of us guys are OK with a BBBJ, but prefer CFS.  My preference is BBBJ with CIM/Swallow, but if she wants to spit, I'm OK with that.  Also OK with no CIM, as long as it's a BBBJ.  Do your research thoroughly to find providers that will do what you prefer..]

risks are generally higher for ladies than for men

for most everything...

Giving DATY to a woman is safer for the man than the woman on the receiving end, and giving a man a BBBJ is riskier for the woman than the man receiving it, but both activities are relatively low risk.  Low risk is never zero risk, though, so as others mentioned, you have to evaluate your own comfort level. Regular testing is definitely recommended; STDs can be asymptomatic, contrary to what you were told.

Are most ladies willing to do CBJ if BBBJ is offered?

I have heard some providers say condoms do not taste good, and many may prefer not to do CBJ.  I am thinking if I ever step up to the FS plate I would only do so if CBJ was an option
