the provider is very well reviewed (30+ reviews over several years). over the past month or so the provider and i have exchanged several email attempting to coordinate our schedules (my schedule is a bit tough). I have a break in my schedule coming up that would allow me to schedule with her... in advance of emailing her this time went to check out her website and reviews again. her site is now down (as well as her city vibe listings). i emailed her anyhow and she responded from a different email address. in the email she apologized for having to have changed her name and phone number, but said that was available and gave me some details regarding her upcoming schedule. i looked up her new name on some other local boards. it seems that she has been posting under that identity since apx the new year. there are pictures which seem to be her with her face shielded. also of note perhaps, she has at least one review under her old name on this here site from this year.
thoughts? reason for concern? should i in an email ask her for any further details regarding the name change? i have yet to see a provider at all and am still battling the jitters in general. up to this point she seemed to be the perfect candidate for my first time.
Could be many different reasons, anything from a stalker ex husband, or a stalker client to being outed by someone, yes an arrest could also be a reason. If she has recent reviews you could try to PM that reviewer. You can also ask her why the change, she may not feel comfortable enough with you to explain, since she has never seen you.
rbotha1 was right on the money with her reply. As a newbie you might want to try another lady for the time being and see this provider later down the road. It could be nothing at all, but you never know.
Yes, you should always have a plan B. Meaning, another lady who has verified you that you might be able to schedule last minute, should something go amiss.

Your jitters will not become less prominent if you schedule someone else as your first. The lady that you have corresponded with can have several ligitimate reasons for changing her name and site, I have had two of the best that I have seen in 25 years of hobbying change their callnames in midstream. As a couple of folks suggested, have contact information for several other well researched providers in your wallet.
