Chose a name that is unique and fits you... so whenever anyone hears the name, they know exactly who you are no doubts or confusion with any other ladies that might be out there with a similar or the axact same name.

If you want reveiws and all your hard work to pay off, the last thing you need is someone else with the same name making it hard because they have a different manner of conducting business that ultimately affect yours.

I agree with the suggestions that you should consider your name and try for something descriptive and unique. Check out Eros and Backpage to look over the names in common use.

Posting a photo here on TER would be a good place to start - maybe with an announcement of a get-to-know me special incall.

Screen carefully. Especially as you get started.

1) Avoid Craigslist; you'll get a lot of riff raff from there.
2) Make sure you have good, accurate pictures on your website and ads
3) Make sure you are clear about what your rate is, what you offer is consistent with your rate, and you are able to consistently able to provide a consistent, good, level of service
4) However you choose to field client contact for appointments (phone call, e-mail, etc.), make sure you are as responsive as you can be about setting and keeping appointments and don't do NCNS; if something comes up and you can't make an appointment or if there are problems that may delay or make it difficult, let your client know.

First of all, Vorlon gives excellent advice.
Regarding Vorlon's #1, absolutely avoid Craigslist unless you want to be considered a bargain lady willing to do anything.
Regarding Vorlon's #2, agree that photos need to be accurate.  You can feel free to blur your face or not show it.  We certainly understand why you would want to blur.  However, if your body looks good, clean, and hair is kept up, we will want to see you.
Regarding #3, do not be afraid to charge a premium rate ($300 or more) if, and only if, your service corresponds to the rate.  Many of us are willing to pay that rate with a good service (GFE for me) with a beautiful young lady who is sweet and willing to please.
Regarding #4, very important in my view.  Most of us are busy professionals who find time here and there for playtime.  If our ladies NCNS, it is very inconvenient for us.  In my case, a NCNS means no more calls from me.  Others are more tolerant.  As Vorlon says, for a number of reasons you may need to change or cancel.  This is perfectly fine as it occurs on our end as well.  The key is to let us know!

Right here!  Just put it on a generic page such as facebook, geocities, Yahoo wherever so it is saved somewhere.  You can even have it saved in your own computer, just put it in a folder that does NOT contain your real name, unless you want everyone to know that!

If you put it anywhere but the last place I mentioned, just copy and paste the link in a post here, you will get business from this site!

If you have it on your own compter you will need to paste it into the body of your post which is a little more tricky depending on your knowledge of computers.

Staying away from Craigslist(CL) is for your safety, Law Enforcement(LE) has been rampent on there as of late.  There are also many more crazy people that lurk that site and it is more difficult for a new lady such as yourself to screen through the crap!

You can put a pic up on a host site like imagecoast or someplace. Then when you want to post a pic here then all you need to do is go to the pic on the host site and right click on it. Select properties or url or something along those lines that shows you the url address of that picture. Then when you post a message here there is a box at the bottom "picture URL", just put the url address of your pictur there. Your pic will show up in your post.

Thank you to all once again - I appreciate the advice.  My laptop is being repaired until Monday, leaving me at the mercy of my palm which leaves me with no picture posting and very time consuming, etc.  I will be responding to each one of you privately **smile** No pun intended.  As for me...I am very attractive, 5'10", I would like my photo's to speak for themselves as anything over 110# in this world seems big.  I am curvy (not fat, but not bones....) I have modeled my face and chest. I am asked very often if my eyes and breasts are real...yes to both, bright, big clear blue eyes and 38D's - firm, nice nipples.  I am 28, from SD, white (German/French) have long hair and long legs.  I am honest and fair - I am a bit confused on what to charge as I have now learned that GFE is not only kissing, etc. but no condoms?? You will get a few good ideas, and good places to advertise. Yes, you should probably use a nice hotel for your incalls. I think you got a little confused, outcall means you go to where the client is (hotel, home...) incall means the client comes to you (hotel, home...).

When most guys say GFE they mostly mean the atmosphere of the session. Smiling, kindness, caring, and sensual are just some of the attributes. Then there are of course the physical things; kissing is usually a must as is a BJ (many guys want BBBJ for GFE), DATY is usually associated with someone who is GFE also. So basically GFE is very oral, talking, kissing, and sexual.

Always always always use a condom for intercourse, never let anyone talk you into not using one. Be sure to have condoms on hand that you are comfortable using, and oils/lube/extras that you feel will add to the experience. You might want to have a few of the jumbo sized condoms around for the jumbo sized guys who don't think to bring their own.

p.s. Oh yeah, most important. Screen very well. Personally if I were to ask to see a provider for the first time and she says she can see me in an hour then I would pass. It is my safety, other clients safety and the lady's safety that relies on good screening. Do whatever you need to do and ask for information that will make you feel comfortable about meething the guy. If you are comfortable the session will be so much better.

What does "in training" mean?

GFE does not mean unprotected sex; you should always use a condom.  GFE at least to me is more about displaying real enthusiasm for being with the client and really getting into the session.  Some of the activities guys usually associate with that are BBBJ, DATY, and serious kissing on the lips but I don't think there is one set way of being a GFE provider.

As far as location goes, I would very careful about doing business out of your home; more than one provider has been busted because one or more nosy neighbors noticed a lot of male visitors who never stayed very long.  Plus, not everyone you see is going to end up being the sort of guy you want to have knowing where you live.  Either use hotels/motels for incall (and pick those carefully as well; some places don't care while others will cooperate with LE to bust providers using their facilities) or find an apartment you can use where  people coming to it aren't obvious to the neighbors and be prepared to move your base of operations every so often.

I have a friend (well, when she could have friends...) that meet a pimp...or whatever you call a broke loser that takes all your money, beats you and listens to your phone calls (as you can see, I can't stand him!) anyway, I have always said "how could you do that or...I would never"  so she is the only person that I know that knows anything about this business and obviously I am limited to what and how I ask her about the business.  She has never been hurt (with the exception of her boyfriend) or arrested and bottom line - the money, she makes very good money.  That is why I asked about craigs list when one of the guys mentioned to stay away because she is always talking about posting her ads on there and she pays for ads in the city pages - I found TER while looking at ads on CL.  I have just listened to her stories, heard her on the phone and drove her to calls before, that is why I said in training...I have never actually done a call and want to wait to tell any friends/family until I am sure.

You have received good advice from many seasoned gentlemen.  

Here's another that has not been covered.  Once you start advertising you will invariably be seduced by a man who does not have your best interests in mind.

This guy will make you feel tops, tell you how he can make your job easier, provide you with protection and security and make sure you are well taken care of.   If you ignorantly fall for this persuasion you are falling for trouble.

The "pimp" as he is known will take your money and sometime make your life miserable.

Here's another piece of advice.   Before you get too far into this biz, you better love fucking, and even more, you better love being around men or all sizes, shapes, colors, fetishes, weirdness, and gamers.  Cause if you're only in it for the money you will soon burn out with disillusion, disrespect, and disappointment.

Also, don't be mislead by the posters on this board.   My read is they all are great guys and gals who have a mutual interest in this "hobby,"  
presenting a somewhat rose colored view of some of
this profession.

Don't forget there are freaks, misogynists, and guys who have difficulty dealing with women who will see you as a venue for venting their pent up  frustrations and resentments.  

If you have not had much experience (phone sex, nude modeling, stripping, etc.) in dealing with a wide variety of men in other working relationships then you will probably have a tough learning curve sorting it out.

Remember, sex is the greatest driver of a man's reality.  It will cloud their reason and  distort their compassion.   Once the mission is started it must be accomplished.   It may take days but it will be taken care of.   You are the end of that mission.  

Unless you have a tough gut, fortitude, this profession can jade you in no time flat.   It doesn't matter if you charge $1500 or $50 for what ever service you provide you ultimately just going to be a piece of meat to some of your clients.

So unless you've got the psycho/emotional strength to see yourself through some of the demeaning that you will experience you might be better off just considering it as a business idea that didn't get started.

Well, once you have your website up, be sure to snag the TER logo and put it on your front page.  Then advertise on the local board of your city.  I'd also ask other providers in your area what are the best areas to advertise on for you area.  Every area is different and what works in one area, does not in another.

The key is to get you site up, get the TER logo on the site so you can post on your city's board.

You've gotten some really great advice here so far and I'm sure tons of private messages also. So I'm going to make this short. It's not going to start out like, WOW! I made TONS of $$$ today! Cuz it just won't happen like that.
It took me 3 months before I started getting recognized and taken seriously here. I also started out posting on CL. That was hard too because 99.9% of the answers to the adds wanted something now with no screening given. When asked, I hardly heard from them again. Then there were the ones who tried to offer more $$$ if you by-passed the required screening. DELETE THEM! Those are more trouble than you want.
Be careful out here. It isn't all rose colored glasses.

I have owned ordinary businesses.  Your reputation is everything.  The suggestion to pick a name that is least likely to be confused with another is excellant.  You need to build a reputation for providing quality service consistantly.  I see coy ads all the time where the provider may not even give her name...  guess they're not proud of their reputation!  

I'm new her on TER (the best) but more than a year on Escorts (dot) com.  A hint on escorts...  even if you are bi, check off straight or your profile will not come up in a search (since few guys will think to use bi as a search criterion).  My Fav's both advertize on Escorts.

Im a newbie also, heck, we all are to some extent, and I'm sure you've heard this already, as lots of guiys on here are business types, but running a website business myself, I know this; dont give up too early!

It takes a lot of time and personal persevearence from a purely business standpoint to really get things going.

In othes words, dont quite your day job yet!
Sometimnes it can be very hard to stay positive when you see the bottom of the barrell comng up to meet you on a daily basis.  Even with a very marketable and product or service. It take time to get your message out there.

Also, even thugh there are a lot of great guys and girls here, like any other place watch out for the leaches and slimeballs, (Im sure you know that be what Ive read so far)  You sound like fighter.  Stay tough, stay in there, be confident of yourself, if this is what you want.  It'll come your way eventually, and when it does, you WILL be successful.   Stay safe.  XO

I agree with many of Iganuts_Donnelly's points.  This hobby requires a certain attitude about what you're doing (If you want to be successful).  Money can't be the only reason or you'll hate it and your service will ultimately reflect that and so will your reputation.

You seem very unaware of what the hobby really involves in terms of structure and practice and there is ALOT for you to know before jumping in if you want to stay safe or be successful.

You're going to encounter many types of people with many types of motivations and desires.  Just know who you are and what you're getting yourself into before doing it because it's more important for you to have your sanity and sense of self than money.  I'm not trying to scare you off from doing this, I'm just giving you alternative advice to think about.

Carmen, your initial question and the responses on this post have been some of the best I have seen in the six months I have known about TER.  The amount of excellent information you have been given here is really amazing.

On one of the other boards, one of the guys warned a new lady about a group of guys who seem to prey upon new ladies in the industry.  

They make multi-hour appointments then once there try to coerce the lady into either lowering her rate or extending their time in exchange for a positive review.  DO NOT FALL INTO THAT TRAP!

Don't ever settle.  Don't be afraid to say no.  Don't be afraid to turn down an appointment if you don't feel right about it (no matter how much you may need the revenue it would generate).

Of all the people who offered help, get to know some of the providers.  They seem to be very good at giving the insight of their experience to new ladies.

Read everything you can on these boards and become an active member of your regional board and any other that may interest you.
