Re: Annoying Questions!

Recently I've been bombarded with calls from gentlemen responding to my ad and our conversation will be going fine until that dreaded fucking question...."How much is your hh/hr rate(s)?" WHAT?!

I purposely placed my contact number right above my pricing to eliminate that question over the phone. So what is the problem?

Are the gentlemen just not seeing it, or am I right to believe that someone asking questions to information already posted on your ad could possibly be LE?

I don't like being short with people, but I really do find it extremely annoying;  READING IS FUNDAMENTAL!!!  I just tell the caller to go back to my ad, read ALL the info, & call back if still interested...Of course I don't expect for them to call back & of course they never do, but am I right about feeling suspecious toward gentlemen who ask questions about anything that's obvious as day in my ad?

I expect they are window shoppers...  hoping for a special sale to be offered.  Really a waste of both your time.  A shame.

I would be suspicious.. and too people can be so dumb as you state "reading is fundamental" and they either cannot read or are worse off than the blind..

They are surely looking for a discount. There is a chance they could be LE. They don't deserve a second thought either way.

Most likely not LE, the fact that you have an ad is enough to bust you. In fact, by redirecting the caller to your ad, you pretty much sealed the deal as far as LE is concerned. Don't think for a second that by not discussing rates you have already advertised you have LE protection.

One question is, are you sure they are calling due to your ad and not somewhere else. I recently called a lady hoping to have an hour of her time. I had found her through the TER reviews. After we started making plans and she asks me how long I wanted and I mentioned the hour. She indicated that I should have seen that her ad for the given area indicated that she had a two hour minimum. Though most were probably hoping to get a lower price, there may be one or two who didn't know the rates because they got your number some other way.

Thank you all for your responses...I've always trusted my instincts and I'm a lady whom rather miss out on money than let my hunger for it cloud my judgement....MUAH :-)

Now I am no attorney, but in my experience of taking calls from clients I am ALWAYS asked this question. It's not because they are necessarily trying to work out a deal or are LE. Its because Men are MEN and (forgive me guys) DO NOT READ. There is nothing that LE can do to you for saying what you're hourly rate is. "roses" "kisses" and all that other bullshit doesnt make any difference either.

A guy goes and looks at your ad and all he looks at is Pictures and somehow comes across your number. If you are screening clients answering a simple question as your hourly rate is fine. NOW when the client calls and says ohh do you do BBBJ or CIM then thats when you promptly hang up the phone.

But I'd say no worries Ive had several clients that are regulars even call up and ask the same question and (knock on wood) has never been a problem yet.
