99% are fake ads scamming CC info.

The independant route seems like the way to go..

First, Welcome Aboard!
1.  Use TER search to find providers in your area.  Search under the reviews section.  If your city is not listed, use the "other cities" and your area code to search.  You can use other sites like P411 or DateCheck too.

2.  I'd stay away from CL altogether.  Anytime something bad happens in the hobby, it seems like CL is somehow involved.

3.  If you only know a provider's first name, you can put her name in TER on the advanced search and then search it that way.  It will narrow your search a lot if you have a city or area code to go with the name.

4.  Best way to avoid scams and LE is to only see providers that have a few reviews (like more that 5).  It's a risk that can never be completely eliminated, but you can sure reduce it a lot.

2. There are some sincere providers on CL but they seem to be few and far between.  CL is also a haven for L.E. and scamers. Personally, I avoid it like the swine flu.

3. Access using her first name as well as location and phone number (if available).  Sometimes physical characteristics cam be used if she has a super common name in a big market, i.g. blonde,  Asian, bust size etc.

look in the phone book- make sure if she claims to be a INDIE that there is not a advertisement in the phone book( we have an advertisement but thats because we were tired of splitting 50% of our money AND marines look in the phone book which is 90% of our clientele) (ex. Camp LEjuene)
