Try looking at the site reviews section.  There you can find local agencies that have a web presence.  From there you can search the reviews by email address or phone number to see what they are really like.

Since you found TER, use the features here.  Get a VIP membership so you can read the complete reviews then seach the city or AC you are interested in with "agency" marked in the search field.  If I were you, I'd stay away from newspaper and phone book ads.  This hobby is much more easily researched now with the use of the internet.

I agree with "keystonekid".  The internet has a wealth of information. Joining such services as TER or ASPD improves the ability to locate and research providers.  To get the full benefit, yu will need to join beyond the basic membership level.  This is not a sales pitch-rather, I've recently learned this from experience.
