I have read in most places that providers will destroy all of my personal information once they have checked my references and my work phone number, etc is only used to screen me. I got an email about 9 months after I had a session with a provider and she said she would be in my area if I would like to meet. The email contained all of my personal information which I thought was destroyed after we met 9 months ago. Is this normal or does the provider just feel I was a good client? Should I fear my personal data may one day fall in the wrong hands?
Urban myth and the assuaging of fear dictate that providers shred, burn, and then reduce your screening data to a sub atomic level immediately (if not sooner) after your tryst. Truth is; information such as your work # and so forth is discarded; but any provider with a gram of foresight and marketing acumen will save your cell#, email, and likely make notes as to your likes, dislikes, etiquette and demeanor for reasons of future reference (just like any good salesperson would).
If this is a concern for you I would respond to her and ask her to destroy the information and not contact you again. I know some indies who save contact info but not screening info. I know some who destroy everything as soon as the date is over.
Most ladies like myself give references and do need a little info to make other providers comfortable seeing you. I keep a contact number and something to jog my memory about you. I would never keep all your data. If a gentlemen tells me to not keep anything he is gone but so is his chance of a referal. Kisses Haley
First thing she did wrong was contacting you personally for business. Unless someone specifically tells me "when ever your in town let me know"..etc. And even then, unless its someone Ive seen more than a few times, I will...Otherwise, she should just put an ad up, if you see it and want to see her, YOU will contact HER.
I agree. Once youve been screened with the information needed, there is no reason to keep anything other than your contact # and maybe something to remember you by so that when a provider asks for a reference for you she can give one. I would email her back and let her know you dont appreciate the fact she still has all your personal information when she specifically told you she destroys the information once screened.
To me, anytime a provider contacts a hobbyist, it is called "cold calling" and should not be done by the provider. The hobbyist will contact the provider should he want to see her, not the other way around.
I think alot of providers hang on to some info. in case you call again, you need a reference or traveling ladies as you mentioned. I have several traveling ladies with me on their mailing lists but I do not have a SO, so it is not a big concern for me. I am sure that if you asked her to delete your info. almost any reputable lady would do so.
