Since you're new I recommend you read the discussions on this board (the Newbie Board aka FAQ'S for Newbies).

The Self-Help Center has most of the information you need read it too. You can find it by clicking on the site map link at the bottom of any page. Then find the Policies and Information heading. The Self-Help Center link is listed there.

If you have a website you can post a link to it in a reply to any post. You can't post a link to it in a post where you're starting the discussion thread. TER considers it an ad when you do that and ads are only allowed on the ad boards.

Read all the self help center, not just the provider part of it.  Knowing the rules of the site will keep you out of trouble with the admin.  You can always come back here and ask questions.  If you want a private answer, feel free to PM me, I'm the host of this forum.
