You need to get a pre-paid "hobby phone." Only use it when you hobby/go on your trips. Otherwise you will constatntly run into this problem as providers response times can vary greatly and you will need to communicate with them and get them required info when you are on the road. As much as you want everything tied up in a neat bow before you depart, its just not going to play out for you on too many occasions that way.

is not hooked into your corporate server when you travel?  That might make it easier than trying to do stuff on a cheap pre-paid phone that has little capabilities other than talking and limited texting.

Being a newbie may cause you to get delayed responses due to difficulties in screening that the provider encounters with you.  You might also consider joining one or more of the verification sites till you get some references.

As long as it's an honest question, no question is a dumb one for this board, repetitive, probably, but you have got to ask in order to learn.

access point.  (Unless you own the company outright & have no BOD to answer to).  Guys have been fired from 6 figure jobs over this.  Read the d*mn news.  Tiger, Petraus, etc.  A cheap refurb devise, even a second hand laptop.  I like a cheap dumb 'hobby phone'.  $20 + $20 every 3 months for service.  Registered to a fake address.  
This is the Newbie board, right place to ask or look for answers.   And better to learn the ropes before you get into this...  I saw a scene implode when I was just getting started.  The guy was caught...  SO had access to his email on a shared computer...  before he even set a date to meet the girl!  You need a giant leap forward so you don't make mistakes right from the launch.

I think that the best thing you could do is email ladies you are interested in requesting to be pre screened. Give all of your info and let her/them know that you frequently travel to their city on business and would love to meet her on your next trip in. Say that you usually know a week in advance, but that you'd like to be prescreened so that once you have your schedule you could get a quick reply about whether or not she is free. Explain that once you leave home you're only available via text or call for any communication closer to the appointment (yes, hobby phone number).

This way you have your pick of ladies, and it doesn't matter if it takes her a day or a week to screen you- it's done long in advance.

Also, once you do find a lady you like, hopefully you can just text her you're coming to town and things will be much smoother for you.
