For a hobbiest having a bit of fun I wanted to ask this question: You meet someone that has made it obvious they are available but explicit language has been avoided by both you and her. Since you are there at that moment and do not have time to read reviews or search her number, what would be a good way to verify she is not LEO setting you up?

Yes, I know walk away and the obvious, but would physical interaction such as a kiss or physical connection of some sort eliminate the threat?

What would be acceptable to a provider, especially an independent in a case like this before it went any further?

I'm not exactly sure how this hypothetical meet-up occurred, but if you want to go through with it, be forewarned that it starts out at a 9 on the 1 - 10 risk scale

I have studied this Q extensively using reality TV cop shows as my main source.

If you walk in the door, three big guys slam you to the floor while shouting "Get on the floor! Get on the floor! Hands where I can see them!" and a fourth big guy puts his boot on your head squishing it into the carpet then they are probably LE. If they twist your arms behind your back and apply handcuffs, that's a further sign of LE.

If it is a sting (F cop setting you up, with backup), I don't think they need or want to wait until something happens. Phone calls on tape or text messages. You're bustable.  

Once again: That's from the reality TV cop shows. If you're a spy or crime boss or politician being investigated maybe it gets more Hollywood with hidden microphones and seductive talk.

We are fortunate to have some retired LE on the boards so I hope they will set me straight (again!).  

As mrfisher mentioned, the dick-lick LE check or boob-squeeze LE check is worthless. Cops can even go all the way to get the evidence they need (or want ) in a given situation.

Situation is meeting someone at a function, not in a low rate hotel or BP ad. I was approached, and niceties exchanged. After an offer to "spend some time together tonight and hang out" with a sexy smile to follow I politely declined, again due to the obvious answers given. She then advised me that if I changed my mind we could always work something out if I wanted too.
I smiled and went about my business making sure not to make any comment that could be construed as an offer.

So in short you are saying (from your study of "COPS") there is no way to qualify someone? yet as we often read in reviews people will post "she did a LEO check"

But if you were to insist on carrying on with your hypothetical I would think leaving everything unstated and wait until you're BCD and let her clearly ask for money. Probably still doesn't save you from much as they can simply deny the claim of entrapment but at least then you can argue you never intended it to be anything more than a fun evening and were surprised at the demand for cash but at that point were not thinking clearly.

Might be the charges dropped if you wanted to push it to a court hearing but not sure if the charges are the worst of the event for a lot on these boards.

At the end of the day I'd say, take a pass, keep your emotions under control and rationality well in charge of your choices any time you're getting started on any of these arrangements -- let the passion lose after you've done what you need to keep yourself save and you've closed the doors.

Your OP was not exactly clear or obvious. I assumed TER-conventional activity.
  That sounds perfectly safe and legal. No mention of money or other considerations. It isn't illegal to have a one night stand, unless she's underage. I don't see a need for an LE check in that situation. If anything, I'd be more concerned about getting robbed or mugged by criminal cohorts, not LE cohorts, waiting back at her room.  

Once again: There was no mention of money or compensation, right? Hay! I've also watched Dateline, 20/20, 60 Minutes and other reality cop shows! I said my research was thorough!   The LE Check mentioned in reviews is typically a quick dick lick, a boob squeeze, "show me your junk so I know you're not LE" or similar. NONE of those checks prove that she (or he) is not LE. LE can do that stuff in order to strengthen their case, make an arrest, get a conviction and get their rocks off.  

A way to qualify someone as LE or not in the situation you described in more detail? - None that I can think of and none that I see is necessary

what I would do if a sexy woman were to "come on to me" in this manner is to simply play along as if she were NOT a pro and simply some hot woman "throwing herself at me" I would probably say something like "I would love to" and then pull her close and go in for a kiss. Depending on how she reacted would determine my next move. If she proceeded to stick her tongue halfway down my throat, I'd be breathing pretty easy that she was not LE. If she gave me her cheek, I might be a bit more suspicious. and if she turns her head completely I'd probably just walk away.

I would also feel much more at ease in regards to her being LE if she agreed to come to my place, either hotel or my home, LE almost never is going to allow a female decoy to be alone with a man BCD without controlling the situation, the risk to the female officer is simply too high to risk just to make a misdemeanor bust for solicitation.  

Lastly, NEVER make an offer of money for sex. Once again treat her just like you think she is a civvie with the hots for you until SHE makes the offer, not you.  

One last thought, so far we have only been talking about the risk of her being LE, you also need to keep in mind that just like the casino girls in LV, you risk waking up with all your valuables missing 12 hours later without a clue as to what happened to you. There are countless thousands of women working countless thousands of bars the world over, some are legitimately "doing business" others are more interested in rolling you instead of fucking you and of course others are only interested in arresting you. The fact that you are asking us here what you "should have done" lends me to believe that you probably made the right decision as there are a thousand things that "could have" gone wrong. but if the question is "What would GaGambler have done?" I probably would have fucked her, that's just the way I roll. loil

I appreciate your open honest answer, and I though about handling it exactly as you suggested, but I did get the feeling it was a proposition, not just a night out .
I know I never crossed the line with anything and I was cautious, but I have to say it was very interesting and I wanted too.
Recently I saw a BP add with a women I have met before, and honestly even though I know who she is BP just scares the hell out of me, so with that said I stay careful. I also appreciate the providers that do keep our time together private as I have asked, honestly I am not looking to be verified or validated. Having an escape with a regular once in a while works just fine for me.
This is why I asked for opinions, this situation is still going through my head... She was smoking hot...and just down right sexy.

I do this type of thing all the time in other countries where it's legal, in those cases it's ok to be open and honest about the transaction, but here at home it's a different matter. You need to keep from saying something overt that would get you busted if she does turn out to be LE. Another thing to keep in mind. while "LE checks" are by and large fiction you see on TV, in a case like this a female cop is very UNLIKELY to engage in a lip lock with you just to bust you for solicitation.

The rules are much different as to what female cops can do and what male cops can do. A male cop can and have actually had sex with a woman and then busted her. I have NEVER heard of a female cop fucking a guy and them busting him and I am pretty sure I never will. If she is willing to do a lip lock with you, it is very unlikely she is a cop. She still might steal your wallet and both kidneys, but she is very unlikely to be busting you. lol

I have taken chances before on non-reviewed and at best, I got lucky and had lousy service with a fake picture. I know a few fellow hobbyists who were not so lucky. Anything can happen, as Mr Fisher explained; the risk factor is 9+ out of 10. You may wish it was Leo if you find some thug hiding in the bathroom waiting to mess you up and rob you.

Some states Leo can and will confiscate your car. You loose it permanently. As others have said; there is no real Leo check that will legally exonerate you from being arrested for committing a crime! You could certainly try explaining any given advice to the Judge. Maybe he will let you off with time served and a fine. In the mean time, embarrassment, shame and loss of loved ones could even be harsher.  

To me; a Leo check is gathering real information on her credibility and making an informed decision.
