Have been searching & reading about clandestine ways to purchase longer-term VIP membership.  

BTW, the search tool is not the most friendly and leaves something to be desired.

Anyway, I may ultimately just go the MO through the mail route, but thought to myself, why not just buy a prepaid visa with cash at Walmart, CVS, etc. and remit the payment online for quicker activation and less risk of losing the payment (with no return address)?  

I did find through a search someone noted that some prepaid CC's like Green Dot cannot be used for transactions outside of the US.

Has anyone successfully identified a card that could be purchased locally with cash and successfully used to purchased VIP online?

Has eliminated most anonymous international payments.

Interesting...  This method seems LESS anonymous to me than the mail a money order route since the transaction is logged online by the CC processor and recipient.  We all know it's not that tough to identify an individual via their IP's.  Typical tax dollars at work I guess...

The Patriot Act applies to cards issued in the US. It does not apply to gift cards issued outside of the US. You can purchase an internationally valid gift card issued by an overseas bank, register it and then use it to pay for TER. Just make sure the small print does not say "Domestic Use Only" or something similar.

All you need is an annual overseas or cross-border trip, or an overseas friend to purchase and send a card to you. You can send the friend cash for the card purchase via Moneygram, WU, etc...

and NOT a prepaid visa card. A prepaid card is NOT anonymous. A gift can can be anonymous.
