Hi does anyone know any good sites for taking a deposit for out of state clients, i've been using Google Wallet but lately I've had clients complain about not wanting to use Google Wallet because they don't want to use the actual credit card. And I'm not a fan of Pay Pal. I think I've heard about doing a bank deposit that sounds like a good idea seeing it goes to your account the same day but I don't like the idea of a new client with my account number and legal name.
some gals I've seen take credit cards. They set up some kind of organization with a bland sounding name like XYZ Corp, and you enter your info on line just like you were shopping on line, and that's it.
At one time there were Green Dot Money Packs, but the government forced them to drop those. I used to use them a lot because they were so anonymous. If needs be, the guy can mail a check or a money order. If it has to be quick, go over night mail for $25 extra.
They can purchase an E-Gift Card; that means they buy it online and it is sent to my email. Per the advice of others, I use a separate non-published email for this.
Or they can go buy a physical card then send me the info on the back of it. This method works for me as I am always ordering necessary stuff on Amazon (seriously, at least once a week and usually more!) but if you don't frequently shop that site, then it likely wouldn't be a good option for you.
I'm not a newbie, I've been using my current method since 2014 The deposit has never been a issue, the deposit method has been my issue with new clients. I travel out frequently to different cities by request so my regular clients are very familiar with my deposit process I don't get any complaints from them, they normally send more than what's requested with delight.
This Q comes up frequently thus making it an FAQ. I hope I'm not repeating too much of what others have already posted. . Do NOT do plain PayPal. They will freeze and CONFISCATE monies for any questionable service. It's a violation of their Terms of Service, so they can do it. On the other hand, many have reported that PayPal GIFT CARDS do work and are harder to scam than regular GCs (Target, iTunes, Omaha Steaks), that can be scammed / emptied w/o the purchaser or the recipient knowing about it. I think it's because that, even tho' PP GCs can be bought anonymously, PP GCs can only be redeemed into a valid PP account, so there's a paper trail of who cashed the card. . TER used TrustCash for a while and then stopped. It's an anon payment system. The Vendor (TER) issues some kind of coded money transfer slip. You then go into almost any bank and pay cash at the Teller window with the codes. Your cash goes to TrustCash who then transfer it to the recipient (TER). No paper trail for the payer and anonymity for both parties. I have no idea how much the service costs or if it's available to infrequent, "I'm a low volume Provider" users.
