TER is a very small piece of the hobbying pie.  I don't think you will get the volume you are looking for, especially being a newbie, from simply posting a couple of times on the Ad/Regional Boards.  Perhaps until you get your foot in the door you should look into continuing to post on other sites with a mention that you'd like to be reviewed on TER.  Compared to the community as a whole, TER makes up a small percentage.  

Instead, that is done by the first client who reviews you.   After that you can correct your profile if it has erroneous information by making a problem report to TER.   The icon for that is on your profile once you get one.

 
As far as getting someone to review you, I think what works best is to nicely ask your clients to do so, even walking them through the process to become TER members, and showing them how it is done.  Also remind them that it is not only free, but can get them free VIP days so that they can read reviews.   Tell them also that they don't need to give TER their regular email.  They can just get a free gmail or whatever account in their board handle name, or whatever.

 
That is what it took for me to become a member and write reviews.

 
Also remember that TER rules are that you can not offer a client anything of value for writing a review, but you can flutter your eyebrows and say pretty please with sugar on top.   You can't imagine how often that works with us guys.
