I finally did shave after about six months in this "hobby".  But that was something I had done in the past, and wanted to revisit after a very long hiatus.  My SO did ask why I wanted to shave, and I told her that it simply felt a lot better without the "forest" there.  

As for the ladies you will see here, they will just go with whatever you have there.  What you might find is a clean shave may get a lady more interested in licking you with more zeal :)

But if you can't shave close enough to eliminate stubble (yeowch), it's much better to keep things trimmed and neat. However, if changing your styling will raise eyebrows, obviously that's a more important concern, so just stay as you are, make sure you're clean, and you should be fine.

As an aside, do not give in to the temptation to apply cologne to your nether regions. Cologne can smell nice from a foot or so away, but any closer and it's too much. Also, it's made to smell good, not taste good. Blech! ;) I'm actually allergic to most of the stuff, so I prefer he skips it altogether...

Yes if you have a SO it is best to let her know your thinking about it first so it is not your about to go out and all of a sudden shave down there. I told mine the same thing, I sweat a lot down there and told my SO I heard it is easier to keep clean and dry that way. Just remember to keep it up as a regular routine not only just before your going out, and surprisingly yes it does feel better down there. I felt just like the old Bill Cosby routine where he talks about taking his wife's Midol for a headache and saying wow it really works and they are keeping it a secret from us men.

So I am a 23 year old virgin and I have never shaved down there. Should I or leave it as is?

Being 23 is OK.

Being a virgin is OK.

Shaving or not is OK.

If this is something you want to try and see how it feels to you, go for it.  I have heard from many that being shaved (fully or partially) is fairly common for the under-30 crowd.  Many of the ladies here (at all ages) are shaved (again fully or landing strips).  You would have to do some homework to find a gal that is "natural" in this game.

What many of the ladies will tell you (after you get to know them somewhat) is that shaved balls will illicit a more thorough licking.  And not having a forest to work through will also enhance a deep throat experience.  But even if you don't touch yourself (shaving), most (if not all) of the gals will give you a great oral experience.

At your age I didn't have that much unruly hair down there so I would never have thought of it. As I got older I got significantly hairier down below, even to the point of getting hairs caught while putting on or taking off the condom. That's when i knew it was time to shave. It can be a nice feeling but it is mostly personal choice, unless your exceptionally hairy down below and it gets in the way of your enjoyment. Given your other facts mentioned I wouldn't do it until you have some experiences and then you'll know if it is for you or not. As long as your cleanly washed down there you are good to go.

Folks, what about using the Ladies bikini cream to remove that hair? I have read that some men find this a better way to remove the hair than shaving. Does anyone have experience with this method? Would you recommend it? Know a good brand of the hair removing cream?

I had a bad experience with magic shave when I first used it (my face, not down there), wher it actually chemically burned my face. Luckily it didn't scar, but it hurt like hell, so the thought of applying a hair removal chemical down there scares me... especially since I've already been scarred down there in an 'accident'.

On a side note, I did shave the boys for the first time ever in anticipation of meeting a provider... They came out silky smooth! Never got a compliment on my new 'hairstyle' though, lol...
