You did exactly what I would have done.  Not that I agree with her doing business that way but it happens all too often nowadays.  It's up to you if you want to give her another chance or not. Mr, I probably wouldn't bother...

So, I had an appt scheduled for this morning, confirmed a couple of days before via email. Provider gave me her general location (ie, "downtown") and said we were good to go.

As of this morning, there was no communication with regard to specific location where she was staying.... No email, phone call, text, etc. Because of this, I decided to go into work. Followed up with her via email saying that because I didn't hear from her, I went to work, but am available same time tomorrow if she is. Still haven't gotten a response.

I'm wondering in the absence of specific protocol on communication of location, should I have contacted her beforehand or vice versa? In all my other appts, the provider let me know location the night before, or at least a few hours before. In the absence of such communication, I just assume the appt is off. Did I miss something here?

The problem was resolved after the fact and the appt has been rescheduled. However my question still stands for future reference. In the absence of communication to the contrary, is there an expectation on the provider or the client to communicate final details or get them? I honestly wasn't sure.

Here's what I do for a prebooked outcall appoint that is set up two weeks out:

I set up prebooked appointments via email. Once we have screening, etc. taken care of, I ask the guy to reply to the email about a week in advance so all of his information is in one place.

Once he confirms a week out, I ask him to reply to the email the day before the appointment (I always request a day prior confirmation, even if he first booked two days prior).

Once he confirms via email the day prior, I ask him to send his cell and I will be contacting him via phone to confirm again the day of the appointment (usually via text if he texts).

Then during the daytime the day of the appointment, I touch base via text.

Then I text again when I'm starting to get ready.

Then I text again that I am leaving to see him with an eta of how much time it will take to get there.

Then I call when I am almost there.

This sounds like a lot of confirmations, doesn't it? No, it's really not. I've heard so many guys complain about no shows, I want to make sure - beyond a shadow of a doubt - that he knows I am coming to see him. And he will know exactly when there will be a knock on the door almost to the minute - even if I am running late. And I know for sure the door will be answered.

I have had a lot of guys tell me they really appreciated the communication and how reassuring it is. Especially guys who have been left in the dark and the girl was very late or didn't show.

If, at any time, the guy doesn't respond to any of my confirmations and I stop hearing from him, I assume the appointment is off.

I would recommend that you take the initiative and confirm multiple times with a incall appointment. A confirmation the day prior, again when you are starting to get ready, again when you leave to head her way. I wouldn't keep the appointment if she isn't responding at all.

The majority of us will not go to an outcall unless we have communication with the gentlemen right before we leave home to go meet him - no one wants to waste time and gas going somewhere only to discover there was no one to meet you.

I would think the reverse should be true with hobbiests.  Before you go to meet a lady at her incall location, you should have some sort of communicated confirmation of everything so you are not wasting your time, plus you know the lady is ready and waiting for you.

To me it sounds like you did everything right.   If she doesn't get back to you regarding rescheduling, just move on.  I am sure someone else would love to spend time with you.

for tomorrow, at a discount.

I just honestly wasn't sure if it my a screw up or what. Honestly was wondering this morning how that last step was supposed to go, because I hadn't had that happen before. All sorted out now.

First call is for general location.  Second is for address or hotel room number.  These calls are usually from the client to the provider, not from provider to client.

schedule a week or so in advance) to get the name of the hotel or street address for a condo which allows time to mapquest the address and judge my travel time.  Once I am in the immediate area, I will call for a room # or apt. #.  Often called the two-call system.
