I've yet to have a full experience with a provider, just the happy ending type.  But I have a question that I'm trying to get an understanding where you guys are at on this:
So, why does everyone make a big deal out of wearing a condom for sex yet they don't have a problem going down on a provider?  I'm not judging anyone but it just seems that there's a greater risk in DATY than in fucking.  I mean, HIV doesn't seem a big risk to me but getting herpes on your mouth or genital warts does.
Just trying to get some thoughts on this.  Personally I love going down on a woman.

I like DATY, too.  But it is not risk free.  In addition to herpes there are other STDs you can catch from doing it (and, PS, I do it anyway).  This has been much discussed here, so try using the search function to read more.  Or perhaps more knowledgable vets will put in their .02.

I've gotten to the point where I DATY only if she really wants it.  I'll usually tell her I'm not really into it, but if she want's it I'd be willing to oblige.  This has cut back on the exposure a bit, but the risk still remains.  For some reason I can't bring myself around to suggesting dental dams.

As for BBBJ...I love them, but still feel like I'm rolling the dice a bit every time I get one.  I get tested at least monthly, and I don't care so much if I get certain STDs that can be addressed with antibiotics, but the herpes risk bugs me the most.

Won't eliminnate the risk, but should minimize the risk is you do a thorough job of cleansing you mouth after. I have eaten provider pussy for almost three decades. One rule that I have used from day one is that she she looks sloppy or bad down there are smells in the least, I don't put either my mouth, tongue or hands on the provider.

I always wondered about the nonchalant attitude on TER about so much DATY going on. What about providers who only CBJ will allow DATY? Huh?

Don't get me wrong, I love to eat pussy, but I hesitate when I stop to think about all the other mouths that have already been there that day, week, month. Sorry ladies, no offense, but facts are facts. And DFK skeeves me out when I see a lady whose specialty is BBBJ.

Herpes is the one that worries me. No cure. Ugh. And then there's other threats, but if you worry about all this too much you're never gonna have much fun.

So I am conflicted about it. I've been at this for a while off and on. So I'm sorry to say the worry doesn't go away with time. Sorry if this hasn't helped. It's just one of those things. To risk or not to risk, that is the question.
