No harm in asking in a friendly way. eom

Hi.  I just had a quick question regarding rate increases.

Just last month I saw a certain high end provider for the first time.  Her rate was $xxx when I saw her and I was willing to pay that.  However, when browsing her website I see her rate has gone up $100 since I visited her.  She says her rates are not negotiable.  Should I assume that applies to repeat clients also?  Or is it proper to aske her if the old rate still applies since we recently met?  Thanks for the advice.

Feel free to ask her, without any expectations.  When the price of gas and milk and my favorite shoes go up, I simply pay the new price.  However, this is a different world here...

You are not a regular having only seen her once so she may not be willing to grandfather you.  Then again, she may be willing to.  You won't know unless you ask.  The worst case is that she will be offended and not see you... though you are not willing to pay her new rate, so it's not such a tragedy if that happens is it?

is no harm is asking for clarification.  If she says no, you can either pay her new rate or move on.

I don't re-read a gal's website when I re-book.  If her rate has gone up and she is not grandfathering you it is up to her to let you know about the increase when you book again.

I think there is nothing wrong with asking at all. We are all very nice to repeat customers :)

Asking politely never hurts. Having seen her only once and over a month ago do not be surprised if she ask you to pay full price.  Having seen her only once she may not remember you though I'm sure you remember her. This is something we as hobbyist forget at times.
