Newbies Must Read and Research!

Lately, I keep thinking what could a newbie possibly want to know that hasn't been covered in this forum already?  The answer to me is not much.  More than anything, you need to use the find message button on the bottom left of the window and do searches for 100, 200 or 300 or more days back.  You will find what you're looking for if you search correctly.  This forum has covered nearly everything you are curious to know more then a couple of times.  Don't be lazy, read and research.  If you don't, others will only tell you your subject has already been addressed and do a search for it.  If they are nice they might provide a link which is going above and beyond the call of duty here.  Good luck to all and have safe and sane fun.

I was just about to post this same thought, after having two people post "What does PSE and GFE mean" in the last few days. The first post I let through. The second I deleted.

TER provides this board as a resource for new hobbyists. Many seasoned hobbyist stop by here regularly to help out. Sometimes I don't know why they bother. :(

Please make an effort to help yourself by searching the board before asking for help.

Thanks for understanding.

Over on the usenet where I hang out in a rec group about Harley's we encourage newbies to do the same...via google
over there though.  The search capabilities here, within
the TER board, are more than sufficient to mine needed or desired information without needless new clutter thus, your observations, comments and suggestions are right on.  As an example, my buddy and I are planning a run to TJ the first of March.  Searching as you suggested leaves with only one question....who the heck to invite along.  Seems rockhard knows the zone well....just might send him a note.  Again, good post carl, live long and hobby safely.

care about TER and our fellow members.  Some of us also appreciate the job you done as the moderator.

Take care and thanks for doing this often thankless job here and in Boston board.
