Been out of the hobby since 2007...now most bookers want references b4 all you had to do was make appt....how do I get "in" again if have no refs?

get verified with rs2k or p411, often times u need to give them ur full name employment, copy of id, etc, but its all safe...most agencies and many indies accept p411 or rs2k

I have a follow up question to that. Once you do see your first provider, how do you list her as a reference? Do you need to tell the provide you are doing so? Do you use her number? What is the standard procedure?

Or ask a provider you have seen to serve as a reference.

It's like getting your first credit card.  Once you get the first one, it's easy to get a second and a third, etc.

most providers will take your work as a reference....just have to ask the provider your wanting to see...what she will be ok with using!
