I see both and while I prefer a local because I know that I can see them as often as I like, I also see traveling gals who appeal to me.

Is there any consensus on using local providers versus those who are visiting?  Are locals thought to be more reliable and safer in terms of LE.   Is there any consensus on whether local or providers are more careful with regard to STDs?

remember, providers who travel to your city are local to their home city.

Legitimate providers with good reviews who command rates high enough to support the costs of touring,

OR scam artists who move from town to town, keeping one step ahead of their victims.

You could say that the same divide exists among local providers, too, but touring seems to bring out the two extremes. Make sure you're dealing with the first group, and you should be OK.

where she's reviewed.  I tend to prefer local talent or those who tour an area frequently...  so that when I decide I want to play, a lady from my Favorites list will be available.  
Touring lady's have the disadvantage of not knowing the local LE intensity or locations to avoid...

We have many providers who go back and forth between our town and Phx, most of them have very good reviews here, plus outstanding reviews on local boards.
