Hi there, this might not be the right place to put this but I'm new here and have a question.  Saw a well reviewed provider and am in the process of setting up a meeting.  However, I'm paranoid that she might have a fake review site on TER (with fake reviews) as well as a fake BP ad.  In addition, her location (cross streets) is literally around the corner from a police station.  Anyone have any stories of being caught in a sting from a fake provider on TER?

The most common situation is when a gal gets busted and decided to "flip", i.e. cooperate with LE to bust clients.

If you have any reason to suspect this has happened, then I would hold off on her and see someone else.

From what you have described, I see no reason to be concerned, however.  You may be being paranoid for no good reason.  Perhaps this hobby is not for you then.

see well reviewed providers...  this means a number of reviews...   6 - 10 or what ever number you prefer.  At least some reviews by experienced reviewers with the same number of reviews themselves.  Yes, you NEED VIP to complete your research.  With VIP you can PM the last couple of reviewers even.  Don't expect more info than their reviews but just verify that she is legit, looks like her pictures.  You must NOT ask any question which might compromise her security (and yours).  Exact location should always be omitted from reviews.  
I am more concerned that you think you know her location.  If you do, so might others.  That is not discreet & this world is all about being low profile & staying discreet.  Lack of discretion would concern me.  Sloppy gets people caught!

check out her reviewers.  Do they have multiple reviews?  Or is she their only one?  If her reviewers are well established it's unlikely that she has flipped.  However, if you still are worried, than I would move on.  There are plenty of providers out there to choose from.

Fake providers on this site are rare, although I'm sure there are some out there.  When LEO wants to do a sting, they will usually set someone up in a hotel/motel so they can snag a bunch of guys.  It's rare that they will go to great lengths to trap just one guy, it's just not cost effective for them.

Have their been *any* documented instances of LE flipping a well-established provider with decent screening methods, resulting in stings to catch her clients?

I am are of busted providers having their client's data confiscated as evidence and revealed. I am aware of backpage stings with minimal screening. I am aware of the recent targeting of P411 where they busted some well-established providers who slipped in their screening, but did not flip them into setting up client stings. I am also aware of a few Backpage stings resulting in the provider serving as bait for LE agencies lacking in undercover female officers who could play the role. But while I hear rumors of well-established providers being flipped to trap clients, I haven't seen any actual instances. Does anyone know of one firsthand, or able to link to a documented news account of this happening?

and currently, there are reports of a client in the Maryland area who may have named names.  There is a lot of pressure on in that area right now.
