Do members suggest using a verification service like Date Check Preferred 911 or Room Service 2000.  For some reason I am neverous about giving my personal credit card info to them.

Looking for any and all opinions.

If you have seen someone who is already verified, they can verify you for free 90 days.  I have datecheck and didn't feel concerned about the proof of identification... or the questions asked

and had no problems with either.

Yes someone called me at work, but it was expected.

The only problem is that I haven't used them yet.

I use Date-Check and have been very happy with it.  I signed up for life (membership expires in the year 3000!) so I would have only one credit card charge.  

Additionally, I use a credit card that is only used for on-line purchases, so that I would be immdiately aware of any unauthorized charges to the card.

I signed up with P411 and am very happy with them. I paid cash for a visa gift card and used that to buy the membership. Shortly after I connected with a lady who is a member of P411 also. She was satisfied with their screening.

for quite some time, and have used both a lot. You do not have to give them any credit card information. They both have alternative payment methods. (check or money order) If the credit card is your only issue, don't worry about it. As far as the screening goes, they do verify you, but their methods are not invasive, and in my opinion, quite safe.
