i have found a provider I would really like to see, but i have no referrals from another provider, how do i deal with the referral issue, being it's my first time, it's kinda like that first job interview where everyone is looking for prior experience.

so any nyc providers willing to help out a first timer, please let me know, thanks

I suggest you also go to the newbie board and refresh your outlook. You're not the only one with referral issues. Being annoyed at the referral thing is normal. The solution is to research for newbie-friendly providers, don't expect them to drop in your lap.

However, unless you lose the angry devil for this relatively simple "problem," you run the risk of providers thinking you're hard to please - and then no one will see you. Is that really the impression you want to create?
